Tough Luck.

"Aby!!" my father called from downstairs.I rolled over deciding not to wake up.

That's until i heard my door creack and in entered my little brother Max.

"Abigail!!! Wake up!!" he yelled in my ear making me flinch.

"you little skwirt get out of my room now!" i yelled back. This day could not get any worse,actually it can since im going away to college in about two hours, and i barely packed.Max scurries out of my room as i try to find something to wear.

My dad thinks i'm taking this as a joke but it's just not that important to me.Nobody on my dad's side of the familly has gone to college or even attempted except my great-great-great aunt beth, which i think is B.S because i don't even think there was college back then.

I always worked at my dad's car garage helping out and even fixing a few cars myself, after highschool i always thought of working there my whole life.I don't think like most girls; i don't think about what to wear, or my future plans like marriage and familly, i mostly think about living life as it is.My mom left when i was 8 years old while my brother was two. I grew up with my parents fighting alot they mostly talked about my mom's addiction, Yes, my mom was a former drug addict. When she left she went into a rehab center and met her now husband Ken, She has 3 beloved children and could care less about us, even though she tries to talk to us and has Max under her little spell, i won't fall for it.

Another reason I hate her is because she's the one that is forcing me to go to college, since she wants her familly 'Name' to be spotless.I'm leaving everything behind just for mother dearest.

I choose my white nirvana shirt,my high waisted shorts and a blue flannel shirt. I quickly got in the shower and wash my hair with my favorite shampoo and conditoner and  got out put on my clothes and put on my slippers and my beanie since I'm not leaving yet.

I walk downstairs and find my step sister Jessica. She's the average girly girl but more over dramatic.

"Omg girly I haven't seen you in a while" she squeals while pulling me in a tight hug. I nod and turn to find my father sitting there starring at me like I've murdered someone, i ignore his stare and walk to the fridge.

"Is there any leftover chinese?" i ask and i can already see the scrunched up face Jessica is making.It's ridiculous how much she looks like my mother.

"I was thinking we could go to brunch and then just go to the Uni while were at it" she said.

As much as i would like to go to visit my mother, and let me tell you that's a low percentage.

"Nah, i have places to be,things to do and people to meet so i don't think that's a good idea "  i say as i pour myself a glass of water.

"Abigail ! don't be so rude, you will go to whatever she's inviting you to or so help me god!' i hear my mom in the other room.

"well mother you better spend every second praying cause i am not going out with HER" i shout back at her, emphasizing the HER and stomping back upstairs and slamming my door shut.

I really hope that i don't have her as my roommate, we are so different it hurts.She likes glitter, i like engines. She likes boys shirtless and muscles i like boys with grease in there face. She likes my mother, I HATE my mother.

I think it comes to the conclusion that I will not be able to spend 3 hours in a car driving with her to campus.just as i'm about to finish packing, there is a small knock at my door.

"I don't want to hear it ok dad?" i shout at the door

"It's me " i hear my brother Max say from the other side of the door. i open it up to find him crying and he has a scratch on his leg.WTF?

"what happened ? Who did this to you?" i asked even though i knew the answer to that.

Max has been hanging out with some of the junior at my highschool and they've been asking him to do dangerous things for them like steal or be a distraction while they steal.he hasn't really got in any much trouble.

"I am going to pound those kids into a pulp Max, i told you to stop this shit but you never listen, what if mom or dad finds out, what if you die? what if you go to juvi?" i start hyperventilating

"calm down they won't find out and i won't get in trouble just please help, it hurts bad!" he says

i hurry into my bathroom and grab my first aid kit and a used up towel.I pour some water into the towel and dab it on the huge cut.

"do you think it needs stitches or something?" Max asks while he winces in pain.i shake my head no.it's deep but not deep enough.i take some hydrogen peroxide to clean it and then put on some ointment and then wrap it up. I move his leg a couple of time so i can see if it'll stay on and to my luck it does stay on.

i stand up and get some pain reliever that my dentist gave me when i took out a tooth and gave it to him.

"it may make you sleep but it will help."i say and head out for the door, as i'm grabbing the door knob Max turns around and says"where are you going?" i smirk and say "going to take care of some business." and walk out

i stroll downstairs to find my mother drinking some type of tea and reading a magazine.

"Can i borrow your car?" i ask as politely as i could.

"sure just don't go anywhere far" she says paying no attention to me at all.

i grab her keys and head out.First stop,Bestfriend house, Kim. Kimmy and I are so oppisite but at the same time so much alike she's sporty,but still has a gorgeous face and body that makes every guy fall for her,but unlike other girls she doesnt go after those guys she goes after her boyfriend Jeames who is probably the smartest kid in the whole state.She only live four blocks down from mine and i can walk ther if i want but i'm way to lazy to. I park infront of her house, and walk to her front door grabbing her key behind the the swinging chair by the porch. I turn the knob to find Kim and Jeames making out on her couch, i would just act cool about it but i'm feeling a little productive about it o i put on my big girl shoes and give the best Mom voice ever.

"OH MY GOD KIM! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON IN HERE?"i yell the both hurry up and sit up looking at me like i have 4 eyes.

"I hate you so much Aby!"she shouts

I practically roll on the floor laughing at her expression."what are doing here anyways aren't you suppose to be in college or something?" she asked clearly pissed.

"yea but i have to do something first and i thought i would stop by to say Hey." i say catching my breath."i'll be leaving now, use protection children" i say and walk out the door.

I get in the car and decide to go to starbucks to get something to eat.I end up going to Tacobell and getting some Nachos.

Final destination? Jake Cumbers house. He's the head off whatever my brother is in and I'm going to set this ish straight, because nobody except me can mess with my brother.
