Chapter 1- Who?

As my mom says goodbye and heads to work, my other mom packs my lunch bag and I get my school bag ready. I'm my moms miracle child they say, my moms are lesbian so I look up to my grandparents and relatives. My older sister who's adopted is married and has a daughter named Carrie. My sisters husband is a police officer and I don't really see myself like that. My best friend is my cousin Faith who is such a genius, you wouldn't believe it. She's going to become a doctor, and then my other cousins are more into girls and sports. It's just not me. I like to draw, draw about my family, friends, my cat Frankie. My mom texts my other mom and says that she's heading off to space for a few weeks to make sure that the station is running fine. Well I guess that's ok, more time with my mom that I get my art loving from, she's a musician and it's so beautiful what she does, she wrote a song just for me, it's called Ryder-Roo, and I love it. I look at Frankie and sigh, she's so happy and fat, I don't know if my parents ever give the cat a normal amount of food. I look up at the sky and see the sun set in the distance, thinking mom is out there saving people's jobs at the space station, she is a hero!
