Hot Sleeper

With the work that you and your boyfriend were involved it was no wonder that you both found it difficult to sleep some nights, Special Victims was no easy ride, especially when you had recently transferred over from the Homicide Unit. You always found it difficult to sleep at night, with the things you saw between homicide and SVU you were surprised you were able to sleep at all. This wasn't unusual, you were a hot sleeper and on more than one occasion you have awoken to your covers being scattered over the floor or woken up in a sweat. The latter was happening less since it was almost winter time and the normal temperature of New York was dropping.

It wasn't unusual for your boyfriend, Carisi, to slowly wrap himself, and his covers, around you throughout the night. You both had been together for a few years now, you had met in a joint investigation between SVU and homicide. As much as you loved Sonny, damn that man was like a human radiator, seriously, you couldn't understand how he could radiate so much heat and not be constantly sweating! You forget just how much Sonny likes to cuddle during the night and your body is so warm that you stick to each other, making escape a difficult option, especially when Sonny appeared to be glued to your side and had somehow managed to entangle his long limbs with your shorter ones.

When you finally managed to escape the human radiator, you made your way to the kitchen to get a glass of cold water and try to cool down. When you felt like you weren't cooling down quick enough you decided to take an ice cube from the freezer to sook on and opened the window. Sonny had obviously woken up and found you missing because you heard his feet padding through the bedroom toward the kitchen. You smiled and hummed softly when you felt Sonny's arms wrap around your waist, and you let your head fall back as Sonny planted soft kisses on your neck, before he released you to grab a glass of water for himself. By this point you had finished the ice that you were sooking on.

"Couldn't sleep, huh doll?" Sonny was looking at you with tired eyes and a lazy smile while he leaned against the kitchen counter and sipped from his water. You smiled at him, "not really, was gettin' a little too warm." You shrugged lightly, trying your best to not make Sonny feel bad for his uncontrollable body heat. He smiled at you sympathetically, "I'm sorry doll, I..." you held your hand up to stop him "Don't worry about it Sonny, it's not your fault." You smiled at him and went up on your tiptoes to place a kiss on his cheek.

"Care to re-join me councillor?" At this Sonny looked up and smiled at you, face slowly blushing. "Obvcourse, doll, but I have on condition..." you looked at him curiously, "Oh? And what condition would that be councillor?" you smiled at him as he sheepishly walked toward you before wrapping his arms around your waist and nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck planting soft kisses there again. "Anything you say can and will be held against you, so only say my name, doll." When he looked into your eyes he was blushing deeply, and his irises were blown, "Well councillor, in that case, let's see what else you'll hold against me."
