As I sat in the holding cell, I didn't know what to think nor do. No one was showing up to see me, so I was at the point that no one was going to come. I was going to jail without anyone coming to try and help me find a lawyer.
I was exhausted from the last few days, and I started to doze off with my head against the wall, but then the other women were yelling and fighting, and one even revealed herself on the floor. It was disgusting being in there, and I was at the point where I was sitting on the edge of the hard metal bench, my legs pulled up to my chest and my face buried in my legs.
"What are you in for?" A woman asked, as she sank down right next to me, as two officers grabbed a few women to separate them so they wouldn't fight anymore.
I looked at her for a moment, and I noticed how bruised her face was, and that her shirt was bloody. I didn't want her to hurt me if I was disrespectful, so I replied.
"Assault." I replied quietly.
"You are barely an adult! Who the hell did you assault?" She laughed, and I swallowed hard.
"My bio mom." I replied, as I tucked some hair behind my ear because I didn't have a hair tie to keep my hair back.
"Oh, moms are bitches sometimes. My mom used to beat me, so I know what you must be going through." She sighed, before reaching her hand out to me. She had tattoos all over her hand, and I tried to read one as I shook her head.
"I'm Linda." She spoke, and I nodded.
"I'm Olivia." I stated, and she smirked.
"Not a harsh enough name for someone who beats up her mom. So what exactly did you do? Is she in the hospital?" She asked, and I frowned.
"I didn't mean to hurt her. I'm not even in her custody anymore. But to hurt me even more, she is pressing charges against me for reacting when she grabbed my arm."
"Shit, sad story." She huffed, as she stood and walked away from me. I felt tears well in my eyes as I looked around at all the people around me.
I was wondering what caused them to be in here, and I was wondering if I'd be seeing them if I go to jail. And at the rate things are going for me, I'll be in jail.

No one showed up that night, and in the morning when I was taken to the courthouse to see if I would get bail set, I saw only Cynthia. Was everyone leaving me? Did they even care about me anymore?
"Alright, what do we have now?" The judge questioned, as ADA Carmichael stood looking over at me.
"Olivia Benson-Cragen is charged with assaulting her mother. We would like to release her on her own recognizance." She spoke, and I swallowed hard. Right now I was thankful that Abbie was the ADA at this moment. She works with my father and has known me for awhile, before she was ADA, but that might be causing some issues.
"You are a cop's daughter, correct?" The judge questioned, and I swallowed hard.
"Yes, your honor." I mumbled, and my public defender, Johnathan Busby sighed.
"Your honor, she is only 17, and hasn't been in troub-"
"Mr. Busby, please do not speak unless I ask you a question. And as for you, Olivia, I do not want you to get away with assaulting your mother. Your bail is set at ten thousand dollars. Cash only." He spoke, before calling a recess. He didn't even give my lawyer or ADA Carmichael a chance to respond. I wasn't going to go home any time soon.
"Abbie! That is a lot of money. I don't have enough money for that! My parents didn't even show up." I whimpered, and she frowned.
"I'll talk to the judge, and Johnathan get in contact with her parents."

I was put in a cell, and this time I was in an orange jumpsuit. I was waiting for my lawyer to come back, but instead an officer opened the door, and Cynthia walked in.
"No touching." The office huffed, before he stood against the wall and watched us.
"Hey, Cynthia." I breathed, and she frowned.
"I'm so sorry that this is happening to you." She whispered, as I leaned my head back against my arms. She sat in front of me, and I shrugged.
"My life is just so shitty right now, that being in jail is just bond to happen. You should go home." I spoke, before looking up at her.
"Mom and Dad are in Boston." She spoke, and I swallowed hard.
"Why are they in Boston? They know that something might happen!" I cried out, as tears ran down my cheeks. She frowned as she looked down at her hands.
"My biological father isn't going to let them adopt me, so they were going there to convince him. I'm so sorry. They just want to adopt me before I'm 18." She replied, and I frowned slowly.
"Well, while you are happy in my home, with my parents I'm going to be here in jail. I'm 17, I'm close enough to being an adult that I'm going to be charged as an adult. My court hearing is next Monday. That's almost a week here in jail, and they didn't even let me plead. So have fun." I spoke, before standing and walking over to the bars.
"I don't want to see her anymore. Please take her out." I spoke, and the officer stepped forward and led Cynthia from the cell. I walked over and sat back down before starting to cry.
The only person that showed up, is the one person I decided to push away. Never will there be another person on my side. Not even my boyfriend showed up, or his parents. My own parents are too busy trying to adopt Cynthia, that they don't even care about the daughter they already have. The one who is sitting in a jail cell waiting to see what else Serena may pull.
