Elizabeth's POV
" You should put yourself out there more often" my beautiful but elderly mother said. Those were the words that kept on playing in my head after we had our weekly Wednesday brunch. I would have asked her the meaning of that statement but coming from someone who is always stuck behind a desk, I got that meaning all too well.
You see, I am Elizabeth Carolle Sofia Diamond but my friends call me Sofia for short. I am a twenty-six year old young lady. I am a lawyer by profession but I interior design as a hobby job. growing up, i took an interest in investments which grew to give me an enormous amount of wealth. I was lucky to be born amongst two other sisters and a brother. One could say I had the perfect family and the perfect life.
I do not object to that statement neither do i agree with it. It looks like i have it all but one thing i really wish for was love. Not the friend-zone kind but real romance. The kind that sweeps you off your feet and makes you look forward to going home each day. Unfortunately i lack that. All the guys i have been on dates with either lack one thing or the other. Just like my last date who just sent me flowers to apologize for not showing up for the date. I mean i get it, the life of a businessman is stressful but why agree to come if you won't show up. As someone who works closely with such an industry, I find it highly unacceptable. And just like that he did not even qualify for my list. Yes I actually have a list detailing how my potential partner must be. This list entails statements like:
1. He has to be taller than me. A tall man is always attractive.
2. He must be financially stable. I don't mind an average guy
3. He must pamper me
4. He must be handsome
5. He must be organized
6. He has to always to punctual
Well lets just say the list goes on and on till number twenty.
I am not saying he should be a perfect guy, i just want a majority of these things. But unfortunately, none of the guys have come close to being up to half of this list. I mean I don't think I am asking for too much or am I?
