Chapter 7: To Death Will We Part

A/N: I know the title is cheesy.

Cinderella

"Where... where am I?" A moment ago, all I felt was pain... but now... I feel lighter than air.

The blood stained clothes that I remember have turned white... and beautiful; my original dress... just... white... The gold ribbons remain...

I see... the appearance of a room. A ballroom in that sense... The one from the palace... just more white... My shoes clack on the marble floors as I start to walk slowly.

"Cinderella?" I heard a smooth, deep voice... It can't be... I turn around slowly.

"Daddy?" Tears build up in my eyes. He nods and from behind him, a beautiful, youthful woman walks out. Her flowing honey brown locks can only me of...

"Mother?" I fall to the floor in disbelief. This can't be real... it's a dream...

"Oh... Cinderella." The deep voice says. His legs come into view as he bends down. I can feel his soft hand on my hair.

"My dear child... go back. You are too young." I look up to fathers kind face and smile.

"Go back? Where am I?" I ask, standing up slowly.

"You are in a place where all despair in the world becomes nonexistent." He says signalling for mother to come over here.

"Is this where you both came after death?"

"No darling. This place is different for each person. It's never the same thing; only the people in it are." Mother says sweetly.

"Oh..."

"Before you go... I just want to say... I am so happy we could see you... one last time..." Father says while bringing mother close to his side. I smile and hug them.

"I love you both and I will never forget you..." Father kisses my forehead lightly before letting go.

"Don't forget him." He nods; a confused face stretches across my face.

"Who..."

"Your true love... He's always been throughout time. Somehow, you both manage to find eachother, no matter the scenario." He says truely amazed. Father step back and...

"Marius?" He steps forward, sparkling like a knight in shinning armor. He looks brand new; all cleaned up and dressed to kill. He smiles and I crack. I run to him and wrap my arms around his neck starting to cry.

"Oh Marius! I thought you were dead!" His arm wraps around my waist and his chin wrests on my soft hair while chuckling softly.

"But Cinderella... We technically are dead...but we have the chance to go back." 'Really? I didn't notice!'

"Oh, how I didn't notice." I giggled and he laughed; our eyes met and...

"Go my dear... before it's too late." Way to ruin it dad!

"Yes daddy. I'll see you both soon." That's when... I wake up... In a plush, majestic, warm bed...

I turn over my head to see Marius' beautiful face... I smile weakly as he opens his eyes. I can feel his soft hand moving along the bed and soon take mine.

"I... love you."

"I... love you too... Marius."

That's when I knew that he was my Prince... When I knew he is the one... and when Prince Charming  walks in. You have got to be kidding me...

He takes a seat on the edge and starts divulging the events after we were rescued from that dark and dingy room. We listen intently to the Prince as he tells the tale. I begin to cry when I hear that stepmother... was the reason for my father's death. She killed him in his study for his money and status... and she had planned to do the same to me except there was to much suspicion on our household so instead, she hid me away... So nobody would see or hear from me... ever again.

Days pass... gossip spreads... stories emerge... and the Prince becomes a hero...

I stand on one of the many balconies of the palace overlooking the garden; the sun is beginning to set on the horizon when I hear the soft and slow patter of footsteps on the floor. I turn and look to find Marius walking slowly; his arm is extended to the wall to prop himself up. Though still hurting, he manages to make a weak smile. My heart starts to raise and I can't resist the urge; I run up to him and wrap my arms around his neck.

I start crying into his shoulder. Of disbelief or of happiness... I don't know... I can feel his hand stroke my soft hair as we start to sway back and forth standing there.

Marius

"Cinderella..." I can see her beautiful eyes raise to meet mine.

"Yes?"

"I know things have been rough for us... and that you are hurting as much as me... but, will you..." Right then and there, the Prince walks in and ruins everything! He has the worst timing on this earth... God!
