Ok you all know I don't own Percy Jackson or anything else, I just own Sol. Now, what are you doing reading this A/N thing. Just read the story

(Sol's POV)

🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Running. That's how you survived on the streets. If you run fast enough, you get to keep the food that you had been saving for the past week. If you're too slow...well...you usually end up eating dirt. That's how life was for me, until my 13th birthday.

But I didn't ask for this to happen. But if this story sound remotely similar to your life, stop what you're doing and get your butt up to Camp. If you're reading this for fun, well good job, i guess; you're going to have a risk free life. What else do you want me to do? Praise you? Applaud you? Ask Apollo to write you a Haiku? Yeah, not happening.

You have been warned...

My name is Sol Hija Dawn. Sometimes I go Dawn. And sometimes people give me a nickname that I don't approve of; but I still let them call me that, 'cause usually they are very creative. Am I a troubled child?? Well, I could have been...

I could start at the point in my life where things started to get weird, but then everything in this book would make since and where's the fun in that?? So, I'll start when things got extra weird, make it more enjoyable for me to write and you to read.

I was no older than nine when it started. Me and my friend- I call him Scat cat -were living on the streets for a few months before this happen. I was digging through a trash can, looking for some food for us, when two strange girls came up to me. It appeared that they went to the Golden Bell High School by the looks of their uniforms. Golden Bell, or know as GB on the streets, was the most expensive school in the city I was currently in.

They had come up to me with smirks on their faces that clearly told me they were gonna do something evil, but my dumb nine year old self decided to trust them.

"Excuse me", I had asked them, "Do you have any food you could spare me and my friend? We don't have any money to buy food." My innocence and my hunger got the best of my judgment.

One smiled to the other, and no, it was not the smile you give to your bestie cause you're having a good time, it was the smile of, I got something evil planned, just follow my lead.

The first girl turned towards me and smiled sweetly, "Yeah! Totally, just give me a sec to get it." She took her backpack off and placed it on the ground, where she acted like she was getting me food; while she did that, her friend went behind me, getting ready for a sneak attack.

"O'Malley, watch out!!!"

If it hadn't been for Scat cat, I probably won't have made it that day. He hit the girl behind me in the head with a rock and instead of falling to the ground, she turned into dust.

The girl who was getting us food screeched, "How DARE you do the to my apprentice!!" She began to change before my eyes. Instead of being that perfect Golden Bell girl I saw before, she turned into something else entirely.

She looked like a vampire with one goat and one metal leg, and me being me, I screamed, "Chupacabra!!!"

She screamed in frustration at the world, "Why can't anyone get our names right! We are Empousa!! It's not that hard to remember!!"

When she had turned her back on us, I took the rock and hit her right where Scat did. Her screams turned into ones of pain and she disappeared into a puff of smoke.

I hugged Scat as tight as I could, "What was that thing??" I felt him shake his head, "I don't know O'Malley, but we better get out of here fast."

I guess I should explain the nicknames. When me and Scat first met, I was living in a alleyway, when he was fighting with a cat for a piece of food. I jumped down from my perch and went to helped him, but the animal had already seen me and it ran away.
