Helene Amsel has been called many things: manipulative, clever, a prodigy destined for doom, but when she accepts the job as psychiatrist in Brooksville Penitentiary, the world's most heavily guarded prison, crazy is quickly added to the list as well. After all, it's now the new home of Nathan Parker, a name which was only whispered in nightmares even before he was captured.
Six psychiatrists have failed before her and as she is pulled into his games, each one more deranged than the last, she's not surprised as to why. The fact that her bodyguard hates her and her obsessive ex is still searching for her doesn't help either as she slowly starts getting pulled more into a serial killer's spider web, losing her mind along the way. There's no redemption for the wicked, but that doesn't mean there was never any love.
