"EU-EU!"The slap across the back of my head was jarring and threw my head to the side. It stung the wound on my head, but I just gritted my teeth and hunched my shoulders.
Moon Min-Hyo had been hard on me more than ever since I had attacked him. He now had a patch on his skin that covered his eye and the side of it. He also had bandages across his chest, as well as a scab on his lip and a cut on his nose. Jang Ah-Rin went to work everyday, and when she did, I was left in the care of Min-Hyo.
How long had it been since being stuck here with him? A week? A few days? Time became irrelevant...I wasn't getting out of here anytime soon.
"You spilt the water!" He spat as he grabbed my hair by the roots, yanking my head back. "The grounds all soapy!"
I had been washing the dishes, and some water had splashed up and splattered to the ground. Min-Hyo who had been behind me at the table reading, had stomped over to me and slapped me across the back of the head.
"I-I'll c-clean it..." I whimpered.
"You're pathetic" he spat, before he then thrusted my head forward.
My forehead smacked into the corner of the bench, and I cried out as it did. I clutched my head as I felt blood run past my fingers.
Oh god. Again?
"I don't know why Ah-Rin even keeps you here" he spat at me. "She should cut you up and eat you like she does to the rest."
I clutched my mouth as bile rose in to my throat.
Eat?
I pushed the desk chair back, leaning down and opening the cupboards and grabbing a dish cloth. I then slipped down from the chair, landing on my knees which made me yelp. Blood dripped down my forehead, and I wiped it back with my arm. My arms ached. But slowly, I started to wipe up the soapy water.
There was silence as Min-Hyo sat back down, sighing in disgust as he did.
More silence as I wiped up the soap, getting up on my knees and reaching up to the sink and wringing the cloth before I got back down on my hands and continued to wipe.
"H-how are you Jang Ah-Rin's half brother..?" I thought out loud, and covered a hand over my mouth immediately.
God, oh god...He's going to kill me...
I watched as he slowly turned to look at me. His dark eye looking over me. Jang Ah-Rin's features were so soft and pretty, with chocolate brown hair and brown eyes. Moon Min-Hyo though, had strong sharp but handsome features, and dark hair and eyes. They didn't look related at all.
He turned away from me, picking up the book he was reading and running a finger over the cover.
"My father's name was Moon Hyunwoo" he said softly. "My mother, was a woman named Min-Ji." He softly laughed then, turning his head towards me where I was at the moment, staring up at him surprised that he even was answering. "But Ah-Rin's mother was names Jang Nari" he said. "He was married to her, but before Ah-Rin was born, had an affair with my mother, so I was his first child."
"Y-you inherited his S-surname? But she didn't?" I asked weakly.
He nodded. "Ah-Rin took her mothers surname. Jang." He then paused, turning fully to me. "That's your surname, isn't it?"
I nodded weakly. "Jang Eu-Eu..."
"Huh" he said then smirked slightly. "Maybe that's why she likes you so much" he then stood, making me gasp and jump slightly.
