All of them were staring at me, it was silent until the light brown haired man whispered, with an english accent, a bit too loud to the other two men, "Why would a girl be out here in the middle of nowhere?"
"How the hell would we know, Harrison." The black haired man with stubble said, emphasizing the word "Harrison".
Harrison started to speak, "Oh wel-"
"Get away from the bears, please." I cut him off with my most serious-stern voice. They just looked at me.
Then the stubble man laughed. "What are you talking about little lady?"
I then started walking up to the bears, doing a t-pose to shield the bears from the men.
"She's absoulety crazy" Harrison laughed out.
"They're my friends so back off" I told them with a serious look on my face.
The two started laughing again, until the bears came up and started rubbing against my sides, they stared in awe.
"A witch?" They questioned between themselves.
"I am not a witch!" I told them, "They're just friendly. If your first thought whilst seeing them was 'let's kill the bears' then you are probably not friendly, im guessing." They started getting off their horses, I could see that they were pretty tall compared to me.
"They're beasts" one if them say.
"They're misunderstood" I reply.
"Lets stop arguing, the bears seem completely calm at the moment, may we talk, girl." Harrison said, with a taunting voice at the last word.
"Talk about what?" I questioned.
"You" said the boy with wavy black hair. I had just noticed he hadn't talked the entire conversation.
"Why" I questioned stubbornly.
"You're a random girl in the middle of a forest, living with bears." The stubble man said.
"Fine, I'll talk, but I atleast want to know your names first." I told them.
"Im Harrison, the handsome one." He smirked.
"Sure, get on with it." Pointing to stubble man.
"Harvey Crowell, and that think over there is Jack Morris, and you little lady?" He says.
"Florence" I started walk towards a couple stumps, they men a few moments away. We sat down, then they started questioning me.
"When were you born?"
"November 11th 1809"
"So you're 19? In my age range, I'm 21 love." Harrison said with a wink. I gave a disgusted look. Gross. The only way he would get a wife was if he had money.
"What about you two?"
"Im 4 months older then Harrison, and Jack's the young'un of the group at age 20. A little baby." Harvey gave him a look, obviously making him uncomfortable.
"So how did you end up here?" Jack asked, changing the subject. He quickly gave a "nevermind" after seeing me give a pained look.
"How long have you been here?"
"3 years"
"Woah, why not come socialise with us, a couple hours that way," he point- ed "is a small town."
I looked over at the friendly bears. I must be troublesome to them. Maybe I'll be fine for a couple days. "Would you be willing to take me?"
"Sure thing little lady." Harvey exclaimed.
"When do we leave."
"Once you're ready."
"Alright."
I walk over to the bears, then kiss their foreheads, "I'll be back."
