The young 16-year-old male was at his school in New Jersey. It was just a normal day for him. Just another Friday. He was in his class and it was almost time for next period. But then, something out of the ordinary happens.

"Michael Mell, you have an early dismissal," the teacher called out loud.

Michael looked at the teacher in disbelief. He never gotten an early dismissal, ever. But, well, he wasn't complaining. He gathered all his personal items and walked out of the classroom, smiling.

"Welp, time to get out of this hellhole," Michael thought to himself.

Once he got to the office, he was expecting his mother, but no. It was someone he hasn't seen since they left to fight in the war.

His father.

Michael could of cried right then and there, but then he remembered he was at school. Unable to control his legs, he then fast walked up to his dad and gave him a tight, huge hug. That's when he started to break down. At that time, he didn't care who saw him crying. He was just happy to see his dad here with him, alive.

"About time you came home," Michael said to his father, still sobbing with joy, Michael's dad, Jason Mell, started laughing at his son's remarks.

"Still have the same attitude I see," Jason said with a laugh. Michael laughed with him and looked up at his father.

"Come on, let's get out of here before you make me go back to class," Michael said. The main reason why he wanted to leave is because he didn't want anyone to make fun of a tear streaked face and red swollen eyes. Also, he doesn't want to be made fun of in FRONT of his dad. It wouldn't end good for the bullies.

His father nodded in agreement, letting go of Michael his only son, from the hug, wiped his eyes, and walked out the office door. Once Michael got out of the office, the bell rang for passing period. "Oh no," Michael thought to himself while starting to panic slightly.

The students filled up the halls of the school, trying to get to their next class. Michael was hoping tha-

"Well, isn't it loser number 2 being picked up by his daddy."

And of course, there he was.

Richard Goranski.

Making fun of Michael because he was one of the losers of the school. Just the sound of Richard's voice makes Michael feel like he's being made fun of.

"What do you want, Richard," Michael more demanding than asking.

Richard growled at Michael's statement. Then he smiled.

"What's wrong, Michael? Something troubling you?" Richard asked while saying Michael's name with venom in his voice.

Michael groaned in annoyance and rolls his eyes. He turned away from Richard and started walking to the front door. Richard frowned at Michael's actions and he started walking towards him. Once Richard was right behind him, he grabbed the collar of Mickaels hoodie and spun him around to face him. Michael, with defiance in his eyes, looked at Richard with a plain face. Richards anger grew.

"What's wrong Rich? Something troubling you?" Michael said in a mocking tone, smiling at the end. That's when Richard snapped. He was about to punch Michael, but Michaels dad got into the middle of the small rumble.

"Now boys, lets not get hostile here," Jason said with a smile. Rich looked at him then smiled. Then he looked at Michael.

"Having your daddy save you from your own fights," Rich said then looked at Jason. "Why don't you mind your own business old man," he continued. Jason's smiled disappeared at that statement. Michael looked at his dad then back to Richard with a look that said," you better run." Rich looked at Michael with a smile; not bothering to take in his look. Rich brought his fist up to punch Michael. Before he had the chance, there was a painful feeling in his stomach. He looked down to see an adult hand collide with his stomach.
