One Long Summer

[[Ch. 2]]

*Blairs POV*  

I stepped in front of my mirror, examining my appearance. I must admit, I looked good. I turned sideways making sure my butt wasn't hanging out of my PacSun shorts. I pulled my shorts down a little more just to make sure my brother wouldn't flip out on me.   

"Knock, knock.", Blake said as he opened the door. "May I help you?", I said annoyed. "Where's Amelia? She's supposed to cook breakfast!", he pouted. "Oh, I forgot to tell you she isn't here. On a break or something." He rolled his eyes. "Well I don't know how to cook Blair!", he snapped. "That sucks."  He glared at me and walked away. I heard him slam his door and turn on music, basically blaring it through the house. I looked in mirror one last time before grabbing my items for school.  

Over the music, somehow, I heard the door bell ring. I trotted down the stairs and opened the door. Shocked to see Austin there, I was about to speak  when he interrupted, "Okay before you go on your little bitchy rant asking why I'm here, I have a reason. Your mom wants my mom to drive you and Blake to school. So come over in 5.", he said sounding pissed. I smiled at him trying to act sweetly as possible. "What are you doing? you're creeping me out Howe.", he said looking a me strangely. "Just being nice, see you in a few.", I replied. As I was closing the door I winked at him, making him just stand there stunned. Oh how I love messing with that kid.   

I walked back up the stairs to Blake's room. I opened the door and he was laying on his bed talking on the phone. Probably to his stupid girlfriend, Haley. God, I hate her. "Hey Blake, be ready in 5. Were going over to Austin's, his mom is giving him a ride to school." He nodded his head and shooed me out.  

*Austins POV*   

Did Blair seriously just wink at me? I stood on her front porch speechless and shocked. Maybe she was messing with me, she's gotta be or maybe she likes me? What am I gonna do? I shook the thought of her liking me out of my head and walked back to my house.   

"Yo Austin! Wait up!" I turned around and saw Blake walking towards me. Now Blake is so much better than Blair. Hes the chilliest guy ever and gets all the girls. Hes the only way I can tolerate going over to the Howes. But he's a senior, graduating tomorrow, so I probably won't see him around anymore. "Hey Blake.", I replied back, giving him a nod. We both walked into my house and sat on the couch, waiting for my mom to come down stairs. I checked my phone, 8:45.

"Mooommmm, we're gonna be late.", I yelled loud enough so she could hear. "I'm coming, I'm coming.", she said walking down the stairs. "Hi Blake.", giving him a little wave, "Where is Blair?" As right as she said that Blair came through the door. I looked over and couldn't help but stare at her. For some reason, I couldn't stop looking. She just looked so good today...   "Hi Ms. Teresa! Thank you so much for driving us to school!, she said all happily while smiling. Great acting skills, I gotta say. "You're very welcome! Okay kids into the car!", my mother demanded as she grabbed the keys.  

We all piled in. Of course I was in shotgun, Blair & Blake were in the back. It was silent most of the car ride, all you could hear was Blair typing away on her phone. I looked in the review mirror to look at her, and she lifted her head up at the exact moment. We made eye contact for about 10 seconds, just looking at each other, till she got a text message. She winked at me for the second time and looked away. Whoa, what was going on?  

*Blair POV*  

To: Megan

Messing with Austin is so fun. His face is always priceless.  

From: Megan

Lmao, I bet. keep doing it, send him a text (; 

I knew exactly what she meant. I messed with a bunch guys over text. You can basically  calling it seducing. This is gonna be fun. I scrolled down to Austin's name and clicked on it.

  To: Austin  Hey Austie, I was wondering if you wanna meet me in hallway C today? After lunch?(;  

I started to giggle when I sent the text. Hallway C is where everyone hooks up. There's no cameras, teachers or classes over there so you can see why. I looked up into the review mirror to see his reaction but he still seemed to be texting someone else. I unlocked my phone as the message said 'delivered', but then it changed to 'Read at 8:54'. I looked up in the review mirror to see his face. I can not even describe his face, soooooo priceless. He looked into the mirror and furrowed his eye brows. I shrugged my shoulders at him. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Blake staring at me.  

"What the hell was that about?", he whispered to me. I cocked my head making it seem like I had no idea what he was talking about and smirked. "Whatever Blair, I know what you are doing.", Blake snapped. "Were here!", Teresa said excitedly, "Have a great last day you guys!"

I hopped out of the car with Blake and Austin. Everyone seemed to stare, probably because they all know Austin and I don't get along. Or maybe it was my outfit, who knows. While I was walking to my locker, someone grabbed my arm and turned me around. "If your messing with me, it's not fucking funny Blair.", Austin said sternly. I smirked as I took a step closer to him, I put my finger on his chest and moved it down to his stomach, tracing his abs. He bit his bottom lip and watched me. I got closer so our noses were touching. "Maybe I was or maybe is wasn't.", I said seductively, which made him just freeze, staring at me.I took a step back and kissed his cheek. I turned around continuing to walk to my locker, smirking.

Okay, I officially fell into Blairs trance. WTF was going on. I was walking to first period when I spotted Cody making out with some chick. Ha, of course. "GET SOME CODE", I yelled. He obviously heard me because he pulled back from the girl and walked towards me. "Just gonna leave her over there?", I asked jokingly. "Aahh, just another hook up.", he said laughing. He turned around and waved at the girl. She looked really familiar. Then it hit me. "Whoa man, you hooked up with Amber Warner?"Amber is one of the sluts at school and she's also part of Blair's little popular group. Cody said he would never hook up with one of them but I guess he change his mind. "Dude, she's hot and it's only a school hook up. Nothing special.", he said reassuring me. "Phew, don't want that little skanky group tearing us apart." "You know it man."    

We reached first period right when the bell rang. "Oh look who's on time for once! Boys take your seats.", said my home room teacher, Mrs. Oli. She's a total bitch and luckily it's the last day of school, so no more of her.  

*Skipping to lunch*  

*Blairs POV*   I

was sitting in the lunch room with Megan, Amber & Kennedy. The usual. Amber kept ranting about her awesome makeout session with Cody Phillips this morning & Kennedy pretended to pay attention, but she was obviously texting her boy toy, Trever, who was sitting at the jocks table across from us.  As for Megan and I, we just continued to eat, ignoring Amber. "Seriously guys, why the fuck won't you listen to my story?", Amber snapped. "Maybe cause no one cares about your spit swap?", Megan replied, "Just a thought." Amber have Megan a glare and Megan just smirked. "Whatever. Just don't be jealous when him and I hook up again tonight.", Amber said with a smile on her face. Megan and I just laughed while Kennedy continued to text Trever. "Blair! Lunch is almost over.", Megan said while winking and nudging me. "Oh please, I'm not gonna go.", I said laughing.

Kennedy finally spoke up, "If I were you, just go. It's not like you actually like him." I rolled my eyes, Kennedy is always right. "Fine, I'll go. But it's gonna be embarrassing if he doesn't show up." The bell rang meaning that lunch was now ending. I grabbed my phone and noticed that I had a message.  

From: Austin  

I'll meet you there  

Sighing, I put my phone in my back pocket as I walked over to Hallway C. I pushed open the door and saw Austin leaning against the wall. Well, this is gonna be interesting...
