When I was about nineteen I found out he's the Doctor of Gallifrey. He described it as a beautiful planet, having had a beautiful city with the most glorious view. But then he got all dark and mysterious, saying it had been destroyed in the Time War. "What's the Time War?" I had asked.

The Time War was when the Time Lords and the Daleks battled for supremacy. Okay, now he really wasnt making any sense. Time War? Daleks? Time Lord? It was too much for me. "You're only 20 some years old... how do you know this?"

"Ah ah ah." he shook his finger at me. "No. Im thousands of years old. Time Lords regenerate, they don't die."

I just gaped at him. "You don't die?"

He nodded and held his arms out to me. "You look like you could use a hug."

I just fell into his arms, completely dumbfounded by such physic defying things I've been hearing. I point to the thing that's been making the weird noises. "What's that?"

"That, is the TARDIS. T-A-R-D-I-S. Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. It travels through space and time."

I squealed happily. "Are you serious?!"

He smiled. "Would you care to be my traveling companion?" He held his hand out, gesturing to the door.

"Yes!!!"

"And your mum won't mind?"

"My mum died when I was three... and I moved away from my father."

His face got dark and he looked away. "Oh." was all he said.

I shrugged and grabbed his hand, walking to the TARDIS. As I walked in I gasped, causing the Doctor to smile.

"It's bigger on the inside!" I squealed.

"Yeah. I get that a lot." he said through a laugh.
