Today was a great day!

I had ventured far from my cobblestone castle and was a bit lost but fortunately I found this huge ravine in the middle of a grassland. What luck!

I slowly poured a bucket of water down into the ravine and using it safely reached the bottom. The ravine was extremely dark with stone and coal at every nook and corner. But I don't care about those. What I was looking for was the shiny stuff.

Iron was easy to get hold of there but I decided to mark that spot on a map and later return to mine it in case I get short on tools and armour. At that point, iron was the one ore I had in abundance. I had let about two stacks of iron smelting back at my castle.

(I think I overdid myself the last time I went Iron mining...)

My attention drove to a red ore which glows actively whenever you try to obtain it. The minecrafters simply call it "Redstone". Usefull stuff for making contraptions and best of all, traps...so I gathered a bit of it.

(Even though, I am a terrible engineer. I am more of a builder, actually.)

Nevertheless, redstone is perfect to trade with other minecrafters and besides I could make a compass out of it to help me get back home.

.   .   .

After mining more redstone and lapis ( which is also perfect for trading) , I saw something which is a pleasant sight for any sensible minecrafter (noobs excluded).

DIAMONDS!!

DIAMONDS!!

It was the best day in my mining life! I mined about seven diamonds from that ravine. Wonder what I should do with them? I can't craft any substantial piece of armour, so I think best would be to go for a pickaxe and an enchantment table.

It was night by the time I reached the surface. I almost got bombarded by a creeper. I would have been SO cross if he had blown me with all my diamonds on me. I LITERALLY would have declared war against the creeper race. Well I managed to reach home safe and sound. I am so sleep now...it is almost midnight. I am going to bed.....YAWN.

I can't wait to wake up tomorrow.
