Days had passed since Tyler and Brendon's re-encounter, everyone thought Tyler would hate Brendon and they'd end up trying to switch dates, but, surprisingly enough they hit it off right after Tyler's outburst. The friends were all stunned at the boys immediate friendship but no one commented.
Tyler sat at Ashley's house, josh by his side, Tyler watching David dobrik on his phone as he was sitting all over josh,
josh obviously not minding.
He heard Tyler laugh at random parts throughout the video, once he was as done he sighed as he jammed his headphones in his ears "and now time for views."
He chuckled as josh muttered something about him being "obsessed"
Tyler sat up for a moment to give josh a small peck on the lips, "it's not my fault you don't watch David dobrik and can't see how charming he is!"
Before Josh could reply Brendon waked in, much to josh's distaste
"Did I hear David dobrik? He's fucking dope, honestly would marry."
"Yes!! Thank you bren! Finally someone who understands me!" Tyler was excited, none of his friends watched youtubers he liked or even watched YouTube at all.
They went on for what seemed like hours, josh at some point getting on his phone, Stalking Tyler on instagram because he was obsessed with Tyler's face to say the least. If he was honest, Tyler's face was what kept him going.
"Enough about toddy's obsession with that airplane band, we should go, You ready to go ?"
Josh looked up confused when Tyler nodded, getting up from resting his legs on josh.
"Wait what, where are you guys going? Tyler are you sure you want to go?" Josh could practically hear Brendon rolling his eyes.
"Dude, I'm not gonna hurt him we need to find out a couples matching outfit as soon as possible." Brendon said, surprisingly more calmer than he looked, yet still annoyed
"Oh, uh, okay but Tyler please text me where you are at all times, oh and when you are done call me so I can pick you up." once again before Tyler could answer Brendon chimed in.
"No need for that I will drop him off at home" Brendon glanced at Tyler's uncertain face "well I mean if that okay with you Tyler"
Tyler gave both of the boys a small smile before nodding " yeah that's fine plus josh you have a football meeting today, remember?"
"No i don-" josh began when he remembered he didn't have a meeting, it was middle of the summer he didn't have a meeting until like 3 weeks before school started, his 'meeting' was an excuse to see debby.
He thought it was gonna be easy to just date her without actually doing anything couples would do, if he was honest he was regretting even choosing debby, yes she was nice but she was needy.
"Well yes, but babe, you know I'm willing to miss the meeting to pick you up, seriously" josh wanted to punch himself as soon as he the word babe came out of his mouth, he would only make things worse when it came to the point he'd have to forget Tyler, for a little while anyway. "I just want you to be safe"
Tyler blushed as a small smile crept onto his face , it being noticed by both boys in the room, for the first time Brendon refused to even say anything, not wanting to make Tyler upset. "No, Joshua, I know you'd be more than willing but seriously it's okay, my good friend Brendon here will take me home.". Tyler hooked his arm to Brendon's. Brendon smirked as he subtly but his arm around Tyler's waist, pulling him close.
It took everything in Brendon not to laugh when josh gave him the most jealous glare he had ever seen.
Brendon could have sworn he heard josh growl but again, he stayed quite as he released Tyler And opened the front door for them to leave, bowing he said, "beautiful people first"
Tyler blushed punching his arm lightly "in that case, Josh, you first."
Josh also blushed and it wasn't rocket science that the two boys were in love, not that annoying high school relationship 'love' that people claim to have within a week of dating. Josh and Tyler had known each other for about 3 years now, yes they always had feelings towards each other, since the first day, but it was different. It was so real and so pure.
"Whatever you say little blue"
"Im not even wearing a skirt right now. I only give you permission to call me that when I'm wearing a skirt" Tyler told Brendon as Brendon closed the door, josh hearing that before they got out, sat on the couch completely confused and maybe a bit jealous.
"You have a football meeting later?" Josh heard from behind him, Ashley standing there amused, seems she'd watched the whole thing. Josh hummed a low 'yes'.
"Weird. Brendon is also in football, he tried out during summer, managed to squeeze him in. He didn't tell me anything about a meeting?" Josh suddenly felt a whole in his stomach. Brendon knew he was lying.
Thoughts of why he didn't call him out ran through his head, maybe he didn't want to tell Tyler, then and there he knew he'd use it to his advantage, he obviously liked Tyler.
He couldn't help but wonder, what exactly was Brendon's plan?
