Chapter 1: School

(KIARA'S P.O.V.)

I woke up to the smell of pizza. I love pizza in the morning. I have my first day of school today.I recently just moved to Missouri and made a friend two weeks ago. His name is Josh. He lives two houses away from me. He goes to the school that I'm going to and supposed to be picking me up.

I got out of bed and walked to my closet. I grabbed a purple shirt that said "I'm allergic to negative people" and some shorts. I walked to my bathroom to get ready. When I was dressed, I straightened my long, black hair. I put on Mascara and My necklace that my dad gave me before he left for the army. It was a silver necklace with a picture of me and him when I was young. I brushed my teeth and walked back in my room. I put on my purple Converse and walked downstairs into the kitchen. I grabbed a slice of pizza. and a water bottle. I sat down at the table and my mom walked in.

"Hi mom" I greeted, taking a bite of my pizza. She smiled.

"Hey, you might want to hurry,you don't wanna be late today" she told me. I nodded, still eating my pizza. There was a knock on the door and my mom went to answer it. She came back three minutes later and said, "Kiara, Joshua is here." I nodded and stood up. I grabbed my bag and my phone and walked towards the door.

"bye, mom," I said before closing the door. I walked to the sidewalk where Josh was. I smiled at him as he saw me. he smiled back.

"Hey, you ready? nice shirt by the way," he said.I nodded.

"thanks," I responded. We got into his car and drove to school.

I'm really nervous for school, what if nobody likes me,again? I only had three friends at my old school, everyone else didn't like me for some reason. They'd call me names like 'fat' or 'ugly' or 'stupid'. People would push me when I'm walking and make me drop my stuff, They'd say sorry but I know they don't actually mean it. I honestly didn't care anymore. I feel like nobody will like me.

"Helloo Kiara u okay?" I heard Josh say, pulling me from my thoughts. I nodded.

"yeah, I'm fine" I lied. the car stopped, we were at the school. Josh looked at me.

"you're nervous or scared," he stated.

"I'm sorta both, what if nobody likes me?" I asked him. He shook his head.

"there is always people that won't like you, you'll just have to deal with it and ignore them," he said, smiling at me assuringly. I nodded and opened the car door. You both started walking towards the school. When we entered, people stared ad it went quiet. After a few minutes everyone returned to their conversations. Then a boy, about six foot with black (or really dark brown) hair, walked up to Josh and I.

"Hey Josh," He greeted. Josh smiled at him.

"Hey, we going live tonight?" Josh asked. The boy nodded and looked at me, he smiled. I smiled back.

"I'm Triston,nice to meet you" he said.

"I'm Kiara," I replied.

"Hey we better get to class, Triston can u show her to her class for me? I gotta go," Josh said. Triston nodded and took me to my first class, Social Studies. Turns out,Triston is in the same class. We walked through the door and everyone looked and the teacher walked to us. She was really young, she looked about in her 20's.

"Hey, you must be my new student, I'm Mrs.Meyer," she said. I smiled.

"I'm Kiara," I told her.

"you'll love her, she's the best teacher ever," Triston said. She chuckled and I smiled.

"I'd like to chat but I have a class to teach,you can sit next to Triston," She told me. I nodded and followed Triston to his seat and sat next to him.

*A hour and a half later*

After 3 of my classes, it was finally time for lunch. I walked to my locker to put my books away. I was suddenly on the ground, my papers and books everywhere. I looked up and saw a girl, about my age and has dark brown hair.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry," The girl said, helping me pick up my stuff.

"It's fine," I assured her. She smiled. and handed me my books.

"I'm Roxana by the way," she told me.

"I'm Kiara," I replied.

"Kiara! come on!" I heard someone yell. I turned around and saw Josh standing a few feet away waving his hands in the air trying to get my attention, I'm pretty sure he got everyone's attention. I chuckled at him and told him to hold on. I turned back to Roxana.

"Hey, wanna have lunch with me?" I asked her. She smiled.

"sure," she responded. We walked to my locker and I put my books away and we walked to lunch.

once we walked in the room, Josh was waving his hands like crazy, again. I shook my head and laughed at him. Roxana chuckled. He smiled and motioned for us to come over. We sat down with him.

"About time," he said, laughing a little. I smiled. "Hey Roxi," he greeted Roxana. She smiled.

"Hey," she replied. We were all talking and eating until Triston finally came. I chuckled.

"about time," I said, mocking Josh.

"I was at my locker then I went to the vending machine to get starburst and sour patch," he said. I nodded.

"so, you guys wanna come over today?" I asked the three of them. Roxana nodded.

"yea, sure, we can go live there," Josh said. Triston nodded.

"Go live?" I questioned.

"Yeah, we use this app called YouNow and we broadcast to help people that get bullied, we give them advice. We're called the ABboyz," Triston explained.

"AB stands for Anti-Bullying," Roxana added. The boys nodded.

"there's three of us, it's me, Triston and Bren, he doesn't live in Missouri though," Josh added. I nodded. The bell rang signaling that Israel time to leave Yvette lunch room. We stood up from the table.

"Well,I'll see you guys after school," I told them. They all nodded and we went to our last class. My last class was English.

(Josh's P.O.V.)

I can't wait till school is over, mostly because my last class is math, but also because I'm going to Kiara's house. She gets to see what me and Triston do best. I walked In the classroom and sat I my seat, then class started.

(TRISTON'S P.O.V.)

I can't wait to go to Kiara's house, I have a feeling that it will be fun.
