Percy's POV

"So. Chase huh?" Travis asked and Connor suddenly got red.

"What about her?" I asked him.

"Uh no, not you Percy, him" He said, pointing at his own brother.

"What are you talking about, bro?" Connor asked curiously as he turned red.

"Ah nevermind," Travis said, smirking. I had no idea what was going on between the two but decided to leave it for later. Olivia came downstairs to watch TV but we were already watching so, as always, she started fighting for the remote control. Travis and Connor were just laughing at me fighting my sister, who started yelling at me in her extremely high-pitched voice. A few seconds later, I saw Annabeth coming downstairs. She gave me her death glare for the second time today.

"Could you please lower the noise a bit? Tyson can't focus," She looked cute when she was mad, glaring at me with her intriguing grey eyes.

"Yeah sorry Annabeth," I said and she rolled her eyes. Olivia ran back to her room to do who-knows-what and Annabeth went back upstairs.

After a few hours, Travis and Connor had to go. Annabeth had just finished with Tyson so they were on a break again.

"Bye Chase!" Travis shouted at Annabeth from the door, to which she replied with "Bye Stolls!" I said goodbye to them and closed the door. Annabeth was getting a drink from the kitchen so I went up to her because, you know, if I'm going to see her almost every day, I want to get to know her better.

"So what's your story, Annabeth Chase?"

She raised her eyebrows at me and I smirked at her.

"My story?"

"Yes, your story. Everyone has one,"

"Oh really? So what's yours, Perseus Jackson?"

"Well, my dad died in the navy when I was a kid and my mom married Paul Blofis, also known as Mr Blofis in school, and I consider him my dad since he was with us for a long time. With him she had Tyson and Olivia. I love the water. Seas, oceans, rivers, any kind of water. It makes me feel like I belong in it, which is why I joined the swim team. I own a sea-blue Camaro which I named Poseidon after it's color. I believe in stories, in villains, in heroes, and yes, I do believe in happy endings, but I believe one should work hard to get it." Every single word of that was true and Annabeth seemed so interested. "Your turn," I told her. She thought for a few seconds and then said, "My story? That's hard. Well my parents are divorced, my mom lives in Greece and my dad married a monster. They had two kids, Bobby and Matthew, and they pull terrible pranks on me almost every day. My step-monster's family hates me and she treats me horribly just because I'm not her real daughter and because I remind her of her husband's ex-wife, who she always insults. I hate it when my step-mom talks bad about my mom because she's my role-model and I love her so much. She's truly an amazing woman, and she almost never visits..." I noticed she was about to burst into tears. I felt so bad for her, she seemed so miserable. So I just did what I thought best, I pulled her in for a hug.

Surprisingly, she didnt start crying. Instead, she pulled away quickly and continued her story. "Um I love books. I feel like I can escape into other worlds. They teach me a lot of things too. I carry a book everywhere I go, just in case. I um applied for this job because I'm starting to save money for university and once I'm old enough, I'm planning on moving to Greece with my mom. So yeah that's my story,"

"And it's really interesting, like a good book." I said, smiling at her, and she smiled back.

"Are you guys done yet?" Tyson suddenly asked, which surprised both Annabeth and me.

"Oh my Gods, you scared me," She told him just as mom came home

"I should probably go," Annabeth said goodbye to everyone, then looked at me one last time, and left.
