It was a rainy night in the suburbs and I wake up drenched in sweat, my ac must've turned off,
I look at the machine and I was right, it did turn off.
I took my phone to check the time, daylight was waaay ahead and I noticed the battery percentage.
Dammit I forgot to charge my phone, so I reached out to my charger and plugged it in, I shouldn't forget to do that, without the original charger, this device will take a while to fully charge. I sigh, second hand phones.
Oh well, at least I got it at a cheap price a week ago.
I stand up and walk to my bathroom and splashed cold water onto my face,
My head snaps to the left at the sudden sound of a notification on my cell.
I leave my bathroom and decided to charge my phone in the kitchen socket.
I went down, opened the refrigerator and grab the carton of milk, I always did have difficulty sleeping in the middle of the night, I pour some milk into a glass.
I remember the notification that echoed in my ears not too long ago, I turn on my phone only to find a reminder that I need to clear some space in my gallery, my eyebrows furrow in confusion,
"I haven't taken any photos recently." I said self-deprecating, I place my thumb on the fingerprint and it unlocks,
I check my gallery and it was blank, "Huh?" I grab the glass of milk and drank the sweet dairy,
I scroll down and it was still empty, I decided to reboot my phone. I pressed the off button for a couple seconds and a banner appears on the screen asking if I want to switch it off or reboot it.
I pressed reboot and it shows a loading circle,
Suddenly an 'x' turns up, indicating that I can't reboot my phone,
I'm even more confused now and I go back into the gallery, another loading circle appears and my previous photos and videos unfold.
My eyes narrow as I study the pictures, and a few caught my attention,
"What's this?" I press onto an unfamiliar photo and takes me a few seconds to figure out what it is,
A chill spreads from my spine throughout my whole body, it was a photo of me when I was sleeping..
I set down the glass on the marble counter top and investigated more, I found 2 more photos of me sleeping, a photo of me when I went hiking three days ago and a 6:60 minute video.
Shouldn't it say, 7 minutes? I thought to myself.
I'm sweating bullets and my knees were wobbling, I can't muster enough courage to view it but curiosity won over, I click the play button and an ear-piercing sound ringed throughout the kitchen, it made me grimace at the pain that the sound caused, there was nothing there, just pitch black,
After a few seconds it stopped, it was dead silent for a few minutes then it seemed that the camera was pointed upwards,
There was a girl, her face completely mortified, then the camera came darting towards her and you could hear her blood curdling scream.
It made my eyes widen wondering what happened to the girl, after a few brief moments something comes onto the screen,
*thud*
I instantly stood up and turned the living room lights on, I look around and there was no sign of movement, suddenly a black feline with green eyes and a broken tail emerged,
