Hana's POV

Today was just another day with a fully packed schedule: photo shoots, CF and drama shooting and appearing on variety shows. Since the day I debuted each day was different yet it still felt the same.

I was 'discovered' by my mother's older friends from her time before she married my father. Although she used to be a well-known stage actress my mother retired after she married my Father, who she met while he was still in collage. As a Korean literature graduate my father was writing his thesis about the development of the Korean Theater and he was enchanted by my mother's performance. Since one meeting led to another two summers afterwards I was born.

Even after her retirement my mother was never fully away from the theater she loved so much. She would always receive invitations to her friend's plays and so inevitably I too grew up loving the theater.

On my eighth birthday I wanted to give my parents a small present and had prepared a scene from snow white. Apparently one of my mother's friends was impressed by my performance and wanted to scout me in the new daily drama that one of her actors was in. With heated discussion and a lot op persuasion my parents where finally convinced to allow me to enter Ms. Lim's entertainment agency.

With the stage name Park Eun Mi my acting career took off after my first appearance and since then I had the opportunity to act in countless dramas and CFs. Thankfully in contrast to other child actresses, my transition from a child actress to an A-list actress went smoothly and at the age of 25 I was enjoying the peak of my career.

Regardless the fame and fortune I do wonder what I would have been doing if wasn't an actress. Would I have been a teacher like my father? Or would I have been a mother like my friends who married their high school/ collage sweethearts? Although I do not regret being an actress, I can't help myself by wishing that I had enjoyed my teenage years and my student life a bit more. Enjoying my friends company, seeing and experiencing more would have been nice.

I'm still grateful for my dad that he showed me the world of literature, he always told me that if you can't go and see the world a book can bring it to you. With the books he bought me I could be everywhere I wanted, be everyone I wanted and live everywhere I wanted. Perhaps that's also the reason why I studied literature in collage instead of performing arts like most artists.

Next to acting, reading was my passion and ones a while I went to a small bookshop to explore the world of literature. It was also there where I met the man who will change my fate. The man who knew who I am but loved me for who I was. A man who I loved regardless his profession and background. A man who will be the cause of my downfall.
