Rose

Part 1

•Asher's POV•

"You have to go. For at least an hour." He pleaded

I rolled my eyes, he's been going at this for at least two hours now.

"Fine," I muttered. He perked up at me shocked, "I didn't think you'd actually agree."

"We have three minutes to be out that door, before I change my mind."

He jumped up, and rushed out the apartment with me following slowly behind.

I looked around the club in distaste. I haven't been to a club since highschool, I use to go to them every other day.

I'm not gonna lie, back in high school I was a big player, but I've kinda dropped my ways when I met Maddox.

Maddox is at a friend's house tonight, if he wasn't then I wouldn't be here.

Maddox is my life, and i wish I could do better for him, I'm currently trying to get us a better house. Right now we live in a one bedroom apartment, that's run down, in what people consider "the bad part of town". Maddox deserves better then that.

I don't remember much of what happened while Alex and I was at the club. It's all blur. Honestly, if I'm not doing anything important or that I actually care about, it turns into nothing but a blur.

I sit up in the bed Maddox and I share, I look around the room wishing it had looked better. It was filled with mostly Dox's stuff, which I don't mind, but he deserves a bigger room then this one, which is probably the size of two small walk in closets.

Anyways, before Maddox gets home I have an interview at a coffee shop down the street. If I get this job - after a while I'll be able to quit my current one as an animals shelters janitor. According to the ad I saw, the coffee shop will pay much more than the Shelter.

I climb out of bed and head to the bathroom, it isn't that big, but it does good for me and Maddox. One thing i love about this apartment is the hot water, i swear it never gets cold. 

I quickly climb into the shower, wash my hair, body, and whatever else. Once im out and dressed, the person in the mirror is some one i haven't seen in a while. 

The person staring back at me has nice combed and styled black hair. Usually is just combed through and left a mess.

I have on a pair of khakis, a black belt, and a light blue shirt that slightly compliments my dark green eyes. 

I never let my self go to bad, but normally my hairs a mess and I'm in sweats. I guess it's nice to clean up every now and then. 

Maybe i'm a bit to dressed up for a coffee shop. I've only seen this place once in my 2 years of living here. It's a nice little coffee shop, apparently its a part of a giant string of coffee shops, like their all over the world, i think. I don't exactly know much about it, but i do know its the original coffee shop, it was the first made. I think Alex told me some dude built it then handed it over to his daughter and now shes owner. 

I don't know. I'm probably wrong, but it's a cool thought. When i was younger i wanted to own a mechanic like shop, but then life went to shit and so did all my dreams.

When you walk in you get this pleasant scent of cinnamon. Like i had thought the place is really cool, it's really homey. You'd never think this was a part of a string of coffee shops.

The lady at the counter was very nice, i think her name was.. Samantha? She had really short blue hair and dull brown eyes. She wasn't very tall compared to me. I'm 6'4, she was maybe 5'9. She didn't look much younger than me. She's probably 20 or 21.

 I believe she's also the manager cause shes who gave me the interview, which may i add i believe went well. She said i can get a trial run today an she showed me what to do, which i take food to tables, so like a waiter.

I pick up a tray and read the number "5" card popped on the tray. So this goes to table 5. The tables all have numbers on them somewhere, and their pretty easy to spot.

After my "trial run", which lasted 3 hours, i was told i'd get a call later today or tomorrow to be told when to start. So i guess i got the job. So hopefully this'll be a big step for me and Maddox.

I honestly don't know when i'll next update. I started this book last year and just got done with the first chapter, so... I'm sorry.
