It was Wednesday. Carson still hadn't made an appearance at school. I felt like I hadn't seen her in years. I missed her so much.
"Well, ill see you tomorrow." Hazel says embracing me with a hug.
"Of course." I reply.
"You sure you don't wanna do anything tonight?" She asks. "My parents won't be home."
"I wish I could."
Hazel nods slowly and kisses me before she leaves. I make my way home and I collapse on my bed. I hear a car pull up outside and I look out my window. It was Gray and his girlfriend. They had always looked happy together.
I lay back down on my bed and I stare at the ceiling. I was bored. Very bored. I grab out my phone and I dial Carson's number once again.
No answer.
Again.
No answer.
I sigh and I drop my phone on the ground. Maybe I should have hung out with Hazel. She and I did a lot of things that Carson and I used to do. We adventured a lot and talked about deep hearted things. And I enjoyed it. I thought it was fun.
"Ethan." Grayson called.
I hear footsteps leading to my room.
"Kylie and I are going to watch a film downstairs. You wanna join?"
I look at him and I shake my head. "Not really."
Grayson chuckles quietly. "Alright, we'll be down there if you change your mind."
With that he left. He never talked to me anymore. It's almost as if he was ashamed of me. Ashamed of how I felt about Hazel and Carson. We never talked. I didn't really have anyone to talk to.
I laid on my bed for hours. The pain of loneliness shooting through my body. I craved someone. Not just anyone.
