I was walking home in the sunrise. The neighborhood was quiet. The world was still asleep. When I get home I throw my bag onto the floor and I collapse onto my bed. I was cold and my back hurt. I wanted to ignore the world and stay in my room all day. I was so tired. Tired of everything.

My phone started to ring. I left it because I knew it was either Grayson or Hazel and I didn't want to answer. But then it kept calling. And calling. It didn't stop. I sit up and I pick up my phone.

Carson Woodridge was calling.

I answer it immediately and I bring it to my ear.

"Carson?" I whisper. "Are you there?"

There was nothing but silence. She didn't say a word.

"Woodridge, please tell me you're okay." I cry. "I can't sleep, I can't do anything."

Silence again.

"I'm here." I whisper. "I promise I'm right here."

The call ended and I throw it onto the ground. I put my head in my hands as I begin to weep. This was making me lose my mind. I felt like I had gone crazy. And maybe I did.
