Desdemona's POV:

Flying through the night sky we soon made it to Pitch's hideout, the cold dark caverns were a welcome sight.

Pitch :"Here we are, what do you think?"

Desdemona: "I think it's positively dreadful, just how do you do it?"

I grinned at him coldly and he returned my gaze, yet his gaze glimmered with some odd emotion I just couldn't place. However I didn't have time to focus on fickle things.

With a wave of my hand I manipulated the nightmare sand that flowed around me into the shape of a throne and took a seat, a nightmare approached me. The creature with its glowing eyes resembled that of a horse, it snorted at me in anger. I hissed at the amalgamation of fear and sand, baring my sharpened teeth. The pathetic creature cowered and ran away, leaving Pitch and me alone.

Desdemona: "So tell me Pitch, what is your plan for this world."

Pitch: "Well I plan on taking over the world by amassing an army of nightmares in order to disrupt the children's belief in the guardians. The world will know fear and the dark ages will return."

The room echoed with my laughter

Pitch: "What's funny about this?"

Desdemona: "Truly that is not the best you can do Pitch, why stop at the world when the galaxy, no the universe is ours for the taking."

Pitch: "That's very ambitious of you, I like the way you think."

Desdemona: "I know but there is one thing in our way, those guardians. So long as they are living and have a positive moral compass, they will stand against us and inspire children."

Pitch's POV:

Her voice was dripping with wickedness as she spoke and I found that tantalizing. Her confidence and intelligence were unmatched, her kind heart had held her back from her true potential for far too long.

Desdemona: "...Therefore we must do one of two things."

Pitch: "Do tell my dear."

Desdemona: "We must either turn the guardians to the darkness or kill them."

Yes, yes, this all was proving to work out better than I expected. I had never expected her to turn against her own people, yet here she was. I admired her dedication to the darkness she had known for such a short time.

Pitch: "And how do you suggest we go about this? "

Desdemona: "Use me as your pawn Pitch, use me against them. Go to them alone Pitch, let them think you know how to rid  my soul of this delicious darkness and bring back the pathetic Amorette. Show an illusion if you must of me as your prisoner, they will do anything to bring back love for the world so they will attack you for information. While they are distracted, I will shoot them in the back. No more guardians, no more being invisible to worthless mortals."

Her plan was so brilliant  and wicked that it sent a shiver down my spine. After all, this wasn't the soul of someone else speaking or a possession. The woman speaking now was the embodiment of Amorette's darkest desires, the dark thoughts that she never gave in to. Everyone has an inner darkness that they can unleash should they choose to do so. I simply took the choice away from her.
