Title: Never Letting Go (1)

A/N: Hello. Please read my other fic, Wanting You Forever when you get a chance. I was inspired to write this after watching a film called Zipper. The film tried to make a statement about the escort service but I felt like the message it tried to voice was a bit muddled, though it could offer an interesting context for a story. If you've read Wanting You Forever, then you know how I write; this story will kind of be the same in that regard. I want to make this a story about two disconnected individuals. Individuals who are disconnected from life, but primarily (and critically) from themselves. The most intimate of acts, the development of a relationship built on human physical and emotional connection may not even be enough to reunite them with themselves. But, something more can certainly attempt to fill that hollow place inside; a love that emerges from the most interesting escape from a mundane existence. So, we'll see if this fic turns out as planned in my head, lol. Camila (and Lauren to some extent) are battling depression in the early chapters of this fic, so if that's something that upsets you, you may want to pass this in favor of another fic. I also have something written as a chapter 11 for Wanting You Forever that is like 60% finished (you may have seen the early beginnings of it on my Wattpad account). I  don't plan out stories or make outlines, but I feel as though I need to weave that chapter a little bit more, so an update should be forthcoming. Happy reading!

Summary: Camila is a beloved singer and model. Though she is gorgeous and thus has many potential suitors, true love has proven elusive. She enlists the help of a prestigious and elusive escort service to help her realize what she wants, only to find that what she wants is a certain green-eyed escort. Lauren g!p.

Her lacquered nails traced a trepid trail along the solid oak. She stopped and rapped her fingertips on the table's surface as she waited, ever impatiently for her perpetually tardy manager. Her newfound nervousness befuddled her, an acute and apparently arduous onset of anxiety over what could be the largest contract ever signed by Hansen Management. Her verbosely resume reeked of prestige, second only to her reputation as one of the most stunning and multitalented models in the industry. Consistently named the world's top model for the past four years, she could now add best-selling female singer to her increasingly lengthy vitae. But no matter how many runways upon which she worked, regardless of how many photo spreads and covers she graced, the industry's spotlight had extinguished the flare of her heart, her life reduced to a euphemism built on looks that would fade and contracts that would expire. Her façade was wearing thin as Camila "the model" eclipsed the person buried under mountains of makeup and expensive lingerie. Everyone could see her and marvel at her appearance, yet still invisible she remained. Each passing day was a one in which she saw her true self fading away, carried into a twilight zone with no astronaut to rescue her. No air to breathe in that bubble under the sea of expectations of the world's most beautiful woman.

A tap on her shoulder and a cacophony down the hall offered a curt respite from her inner loneliness, though she knew the lifeline was short-lived.

She swiveled in her office chair and glanced at Normani Hamilton, the second most revered model at Hansen Management and Dinah's partner. Camila had a somewhat tumultuous past with the curly-haired goddess; when she first signed a contract at Hansen, Normani was the agency's top earner. Her exclusive relationship with Dinah also translated to the most lucrative and coveted opportunities for any model on the East coast. Normani reaped those benefits until there wasn't much left to sow, until a newcomer and bastion of physical appeal via a Latina goddess walked down the right street at the right time. The agency was forever changed, with Normani as a frequent face on the international fashion market, and Camila a permanent fixture in catalogues and print. Camila viewed them as two distinct types of models, both oozing sexiness and appeal albeit in unique manifestations. A turbulent relationship gradually transformed into one marked by tranquility and genuine respect.
