Kaya's P.O.V

Pike was now our new chancellor which worried me. He and his group from last night went back out to do what they were originally planned to do. I saw that there were less people than before.

"My God, look at them," Abby said. Octavia rushed over to Bellamy while I walked over to him.

"Bellamy, you okay?" She asked him.

"I'm fine," He tells her.

"What happened out there?" I asked calmly. Bellamy ignored us as he walked past us. I looked over at Octavia who looked back at me. I saw Pike come in last.

"Lock it up," He said. The gates closed as he stepped on a platform.

"Everybody, listen up. 24 hours ago you elected me your chancellor. Every action I've taken since and every action I will take will be to achieve one sacred goal. The creation of a self-sustaining, prosperous, and safe Arkadia," Some people cheered while some stayed quiet. I looked over at Abby and my dad who looked disturbed.

"This morning on a muddy field our people paid tribute to those who have been taken from us by sending a message to the Grounders. This land is ours now!" Pike said. I looked over at Octavia who couldn't believe it either. Everyone started to cheer a little.

"Resist, and you will be met by force. Fight, and you will be greeted by death. Today is a new beginning. Mark it down, remember it, just like the Grounders will remember it," Pike said.

"No wounded. 10 against 300 and there's no wounded. How's that possible?" I heard Abby say as I walked over to them.

"I need to find Clarke," I told them.

"Kaya, I'm not sure if you should," Abby said.

"Why? Clarke is with the Grounder leader and if I could talk to her maybe she can help convince the Grounder leader that some of us aren't so bad," I said.

"Kaya, no," Dad told me.

"Dad, what they did, is going to get us killed,"I told him.

"We'll figure out a way. But for now, lay low," Dad told me. I nodded before walking away.

I sat outside, staring at the wall until Octavia walked over to me. I looked up at her before she motioned me to follow her. I did so as we went over to a room where my dad was at. He had my weapons before handing it to me.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"You both need to find Indra. Crawl space, door in 20 feet drops you outside the camp wall. You get out there, you find out what the hell happened and you report back here. Can you do that?" Dad told us.

"I was born for this," Octavia said before getting inside.

"Be safe. Both of you," Dad told us. We heard the PA go off and calling out for him. Octavia and I rushed off to the door.

"I really wish we had out horses," I told Octavia as we hurried off.

"Me too," Octavia said.

As soon as we made it to the area, I felt disgusted at what they had done. Dead bodies everywhere. Octavia let them know that we came in peace. We got inside the tent where Clarke, Indra, and the Grounder Leader were in.

"Octavia? Kaya? Where's Kane?" Clarke asked.

"He sent us," Octavia told her. Octavia kneel beside Indra. I went over to Clarke before hugging her.

"Indra, thank God," Octavia said in relief that she was okay.

"How did this happen?" The Grounder Leader asked us.

"My dad lost the election to Pike. Everything's different," I told her. Clarke stood up as the Grounder Leader glared at her.

"Your people voted for this?" The Grounder Leader questioned.

"No. No, I don't believe that," Clarke shook her head.

"What do you know, Clarke? You haven't been here," Octavia said.

"Listen to me. The Grounder army is going to be here in less than a day. I need to see Bellamy," Clarke said.

"I wouldn't want to see him if I were you. He was part of this. He was with Pike. What makes you think he will help us?" I asked her.

"He saved Indra's life. If what Kaya's saying is true, then Pike trusts him. If I can get to him, he can get to Pike," Clarke said.

"You can't just walk through the gates, Clarke. You've been living with their enemy. If it were me, I'd kill you on the spot," The Grounder Leader told her.

"We can get her in," I told her. Clarke looked over at me before nodding.
