I threw the ball in the air and kicked off the ground. I stuck my legs out as I had seen all those times before, but unlike all those times, I missed the ball and fell on my back painfully. The pain tickled up my spine, jabbing my brain. My chest ached, my lungs not taking any air. I squeezed my eyes shut and breathed deeply.
"Are you alright?" he asked me. I groaned in response, breathing easier. "Look at me."
I opened my eyes and saw his beautiful hazel ones and just like that, I was gasping for air once again.
