An Unexpected Journey Alexander Calvert x Reader

We grabbed an uber and headed into the town. When we got out of the car, there was the bar my friends were talking about. I could hear the music playing from outside it was amazing. Once we got in I saw a lot of people dancing and enjoying themselves and I thought to myself... That will be me tonight. I felt happy that I was here with my friends and I knew I wasn't alone. 

"So girls what are we-"  I turned around and they were gone. It figures they are trying to help. What I didn't expect was for them to leave me. I turned back around and they caught my eye. They were full of smiles as they waved at me. Of course I waved back. 

I walked down to the bar area. I took a seat and waited for the bartender. 

"What can I get you darling?"

"Moscow Mule"

"Right up"

"Thanks" 

It wasn't long until the bartender brought me my drink. When I did get it, a man sat down right beside me and ordered his own drink. 

"What can I get you to drink tonight Alex?"

"The usual, thanks" 

I looked over at him as he ordered. I was thinking to myself. oh my god is that him? He is so much hotter in person? His eyes... His body... oh my... 

Normally I am not into that "Bad Boy" type but for him it worked and was attractive as shit. I turned around as the bartender brought him his drinks. I felt so awkward. 

"Alright Alex here is your drink and your two shots. " 

"Thanks you are a doll" The bartender left with a smile. 

Of course, it would just be my luck that I found someone attractive and he has a girlfriend or something. Thanks a lot girls. Before I could stand up to leave. He looks over at me and smiles, 

"What is a pretty girl like you doing alone at a bar?"

"Well I am here with some of my girlfriends but they ditched me"

"Well... if you aren't in a rush would you like to have a shot with me..?"

"You aren't here with your friends or anything?" I said in hopes it wasn't too awkward of a question. 

"nope just me... I am Alex by the way" 

"I am Jasmine.." 

"Such a pretty name for a pretty girl.." Alex said with a smile, "now.. shot?"

I smiled, "Sure"

He handed me the shot glass and just continued to smile. We cheered and took our shots together. For the next 30 or so minutes Alex and I did nothing but talk. It was nice to get to know someone again. He would ask me various questions about what I do for a living, what I do for fun. He never got personal. It was nice to have some drinks with a guy and just well... chat. 

Finally a song popped on that made me start dancing in my seat. Alex noticed. 

"Do you want to go and dance?"

"I'd love to" 

Alex got up off of his chair, reached his hand for mine and off we went to the dance floor.
