Ding dong, ding dong.
🎶Here comes the bride, here comes the bride🎶
Hibari stared at the woman walking down the aisle towards him. Her once long hair was now elegantly braided up, circling her head in a flower crown, before trailing off. Her hazel eyes twinkled as the light hit them, he noticed just how beautiful they were. How they lit up when she saw sweets.....
——flashback——
"Hibari-kun!!! Look!" Hibari glared at the girl in front of him. She had the nerve to pull him away from Namimori middle just for this. "Do you want any? I'm getting strawberry and chocolate!" Her eyes were bright with joy, like a kid in a candy shop, as they scanned the variety of ice cream.
"No!" Hibari growled, and tried to get out of her grip, but failed as she curled her fingers tighter, and yanked him inside.
"But Hibari-kun! It's my birthday!" Hibari sighed and gave up, knowing the girl wouldn't let him leave.

.....or how they showed a beautiful but sorrowful shine when her mother had passed....
——flashback——
"Hibari-kun....?" Hibari glanced up from his paperwork, before bringing them back down to the ink words. Just another club wanting permission for some stupid and crowded outing. "Can I ask you something?" Hibari stayed silent, and he regretted it. She had took it as a yes. "Have you..." she paused, as if unsure she wanted to ask. Hibari rose a brow, giving her his full attention. He had looked at her, and noticed her eyes were different. They were still hazel and held a shine to them, but it wasn't happy. No, this was different. "..ever lost someone?"
Hibari leaned back in his chair, "Yes. People like to change schools."
She chuckled dryly and shook her head, "Ah, not like that...Hibari-kun," she looked up at him and he noticed her eyes were watery, "My mother died last night." He realized in that moment, her world had shattered.

....and her smile, he remembered the first day he saw that smile and it seemed to light up the room...
——flashback——
Hibari patrolled the schools as usual, and as he walked down a certain hallway, he heard boisterous laughing. He narrowed his eyes, already thinking of the crowded room. He curled his fingers around the knob and slammed the door open, startling everyone in the room. "Are you herbivores crowding?" He snarled, tonfa's already at the ready.
"Haha! That's funny! Herbivore? We all have meat here silly!" Everyone froze and stared at the girl who sat on a desk, shoes on her seat. Her hair had been pulled back into a side ponytail, and her hazel eyes shined as she smiled.
Hibari zeroed in on her instantly and knew, from that day on, he would have to keep an eye on her.
——end flashback——
....Ah, there it was, her smile. It seemed as if it was just for him. Her natural rosy cheeks grew redder as she blushed, glancing in his direction. She stopped at the altar, and shyly looked down as she stood in front of him. Her natural freckles seemed to disappear that moment, as her dimples outshined them.
"I do," Hibari had ignored everything up until she spoke. He had ignored his feelings, not even realizing they were there. He had never even realized it...
"I now pronounce you, Mr. and Mrs. Sawada. You may now kiss the bride."
That was right. She was marrying Tsunayoshi Sawada, Decimo of the Vongola Famiglia, his boss. He remembered now, as their faces inched closer, waiting impatiently for the sealing kiss, how he had lost her and didn't care.
——flashback——
"Ayu! Hibari~" Hibird sang, circling Hibari as he napped on the roof. Hibari woke up slowly, and rubbed his eyes as he sat up.
"Huh?" He watched as Hibird flew around him, much to his surprise. Hibari held out a finger and watched as Hibird nuzzled on it. "What are you doing here?" Ever since Ayuzu came along, she always took Hibird off his hands so he could nap in peace; the fluttering of wings kept him awake.
"Ayu! Ayu!" Hibari stood up and followed Hibird, whom had flew off his finger and to the railing. Hibari glanced down when he heard a yelp. He didn't like what he saw."Sigh," Ayuzu swung her messenger bag as she walked out of school grounds. Class had ended 10mins ago and Hibari had been nowhere to be found. She pouted, and gently touched the object in her hair, a rosy flower pin. "Kuso...he didn't even get a chance to vocalize seeing it.." she knew, from how Hibari displayed affection, that he wouldn't openly vocalize something the first time around. She sighed, reaching into her pocket, hoping to of gotten a text from Kusakabe or Hibari.... pulling her hand out, she reached in again, and repeated this process as she stopped walking. "Ehh!?" using her other hand she tried the other pocket. Empty. "How did I forget my phone!?" Pulling at her once neat hair, she cursed silently. Turning on her heel, she dashed back to school, only to be met with the floor.
"Eek!" She blinked, she never eeks, so who..? She looked up, brushing her hair out of her face. Hazel eyes met brown.
"Sou ka.... I ran into chocolate... thank goodness!" She smiled, causing the person under her to blush. She sat up, straddling the teen under her.
"E-e-eh.... u-u-um.... sumimasen...."
"Ora??" She blinked and looked down, finally taking in that the chocolate was attached to a head, which was attached to a person. "Chocolate-kun!! You grew a head!!" Stars filled her eyes. It was like a dream come true!
"U-um...g-gomen..but I'm not chocolate..."
She pouted at the teen, "You're crushing my hopes and dreams. Who does that to a girl!" She huffed and crossed her arms, bringing her chest closer to the males face.
"G-Gomen!!!" He cried out, and tried scrambling away.
"Ne, chocolate-kun... did you see my phone?"
"B-but! Wait!" Tsuna froze, after realizing his attempt to tell her he wasn't chocolate failed, was it hers? He dug into his pocket and pulled out a black device. "This?"
"Yes yes yes!!!!! Thank you chocolate-kun!!!! You're a life saver!" She hugged him tightly, clasping her new found device in her hand.
"Hie!!! Ayuzu-San!" Tsuna was redder than a tomato, he didn't have much interaction with females.
"Eh!? You know me!" She giggled, astonished. Most people ignored her because she was close to Hibari.
Tsuna rubbed his head, and glanced up, past her eyes, "oh? That looks....looks pretty on you..." he sighed internally, he somehow managed not to stutter.
"Ora?" She reaches up, lightly touching her rose pin, and blushed. He noticed....
——end flashback——
Just inches away now, Hibari couldn't help but deepen his glare, his knuckles turning white as he balled his fists tighter. Yamamoto, noticing Hibari's dilemma, spoke softly to him, "Hibari-San.... haha, keep that up and you'll lose your tonfa hands." Always the idiot. But it did help Hibari to release his fists from the pain he now felt.
If only, when he had first met her, he realized how important she would come to be to him.An inch closer.
If only he had realized sooner, maybe, just maybe, she would've been in front of him at the altar.
Centimeters apart. Lips pursed.
If only he hadn't of been stupid and let her love for him die.
Connection. Everyone cheered. A blushing Tsuna and Ayuzu connected hands, and walked to the exit.
If only he had realized he loved her.
