My name is Julia Smith I'm named after my grandmother. When I was four my mom died from stage 4 lung cancer My father never was there I see him every once in a while. It was just me and my brother till our Auntie kicked us out we were on our own she kicked us out cause she couldn't afford her 3 kids then us.
The way my brother mindset was he felt like he could do everything on his own he aint need no help that he was a man and he gotta get it on his own.
So when his best friends lucas and King gave us a place to stay he made me go as he went out to our old apartment out every night making money for me. I soon met my best friend Kash.
His real name is Kashmere we been tight since we met. He's my ride or die even though we fight often. When he started to live with me and my brother life was good. Then 2 years later my brother died from a shooting.
Me and kash was sent to his uncle but he was struggling there so we ran away to the apartment we was staying in before my brother died till our brother figure Lucas found out then we started to live with Lucas best friend King granny. But me and Kash were basically raised by all gang member's King granny house was just where we could get food from and get some motherly type love and sleep there if we wasn't sleeping at the trap. Guess you could call us some project babies.

"Ju wake up." I groaned as I felt for the remote under my pillow and threw it wherever the voice came from. The blankets were pulled off of me making the cold air hit my body.
"Leave me ALONEEEE" I screamed turning back over pulling the covers by on my body. I was turned over and felt the covers ripped off me.
"Why would you do that?" I said whinning.
"Shut yo ass up that ugly ass face when you trying to fake cry." Lucas said to me I mugged him not wanting to entertain him at all. Since our granny died and king is in prison at the moment I'm in an teen group home and Kash lives with his uncle on his dad side in Richmond. But some days they let us go to Lucas house and spend the night.
"Shut yo light bright ass up" I said about to roast his ass but realized that I needed to get ready so I walked outta my room into my bathroom.
"Aye hurry up he getting released at 10." Lucas yelled out to me as I undressed getting in the shower.
"Okay imma take a quick shower then." I said back. He was talking about Kash he getting out of jail today. He been in there since the middle of 10th grade year. He got caught with weed while driving a stolen car and the car had a gun in it. Lucas paid for the best lawyer so they only gave him a little bit of time.
