My head was slumped against the floor, and I whimpered as my neck ached painfully. Dae-seong beside me moaned in pain. He kept moaning in pain. It was irritating. It was loud and gargled and disgusting."Shut up" I groaned as I slowly lifted my head off the ground and peered at him. "I swear to god."
He laughed. It made me bristle, and I blinked and faltered at his reaction. Slowly, he lifted his head.
"I-I'm not gonna die in this shit hole" he said as he spat out blood. One side of his face was completely black and blue and bloated with thick and disgusting looking bruises. It was like an infectious growth started to develop on his skin. It made my skin crawl. "We have to kill her."
As I looked at his stump on his left arm, bandaged with blood soaked through. He had to of been delusional from the blood loss. But then, I found myself laughing.
He was the one to now bristle.
"You're stupid" I said and sighed, slowly sitting up fully and tugging at the ropes around my wrists. "How would we even possibly do that..?"
"She didn't tie you to the pole..." he said as he spat out more blood. "You can move around."
"My ankles are broken you idiot" I snapped.
I flinched at my own ferocity. Why was I being so short tempered..? I had never been like this before...? Was it because I was upset, or...
'I only crossed the line because of YOU!' I had screamed at her.
I bit my lip. Was it because of her that I was upset...?
"There's a knife in the draw on the table over in the shadows...that way" he groaned as he gestured to it with his head. "G-go l-look."
The knife she used on him...?
I didn't want to know.
I grunted and slowly got onto my lower arms, gritting as my skin dug into the rough cement floor. Slowly, I started to make my way over to the corner with my elbows and my knees. I whimpered as it stung, and made everything ache.
The crack in my glasses didn't help. It distorted my vision. But soon, my head bumped into something, and I gritted my teeth as I looked up and saw that I was in front of it. My eyes widened, and I slowly pushed myself up so I was now standing on my knees.
I gritted my teeth as I struggled to get my arms up and open the draw, but I managed to do it, and I cried out as it ignited fire in my stitches.
"Y-your name...Eu-Eu..." Dae-seong then moaned. "She talks about you a lot..."
I whimpered as my hand turned to pull the draw out, and I quickly rummaged through it as it opened. For a moment, I didn't feel anything, but then I cried out as I sliced my hand open as I grasped the blade.
Despite the pain, I grabbed the blade and used my shoulder to force the draw closed before I slumped to the floor.
The blade clattered out from my fingers, covered in my blood. All energy was gone from my body, and I moaned as everything either stung or ached. I fell to the floor on my back, panting and gulping down air. My hands trembled.
"C'mon! She could be back soon!"
I gritted my teeth and rolled myself over onto my stomach, before I started to crawl back to where I was.
The fact that I had done that had been astonishing. I smiled as I finally got to where Dae-seong was, rolling my shoulders and sighing. The blade gleamed with the scarlet red of my fresh blood, and I found that the cut didn't hurt as much anymore.
