Chapter 9

I just went through my book and noticed Im making spelling mistakes and I apoligize because Im always the main one correcting people about misspelling words . Ill get to it as soon as I can and thank you to the people that are reading and voting . Loveee youu babiess .

Amethyst P.O.V.

My alarm went off . I forgot today was Monday . I got up and went to shower and get ready . Monday is my least favorite day of the week like it is for a majority of other people so I usually just wear something comfortable . I finished dressing and took a minute to check myself before I left out . I slung my bag over my shoulder and knocked on CJ's door to wake him up and tell him I was leaving . I grabbed a pop tart and went out to my car and drove off .

Its the same thing everytime I come to school except today . I didnt have Chresanto leaning on my locker flirting with me like he usually does . I shrugged it off and went to look for Jhordyn and she wasnt here either . Neither was Justin . Now I was worried and beyond confused . I shook my head and went off to class . I sat through every class and did my part and sat by people I barely associate with at lunch . After practice I went home and flopped on my bed to do homework when I got a call from Chresanto .

"Hello ?"

"Hey Ame . Do you think I could come over and get the homework and stuff from you ?"

My moms wasnt the one that was okay with boys being over the house when she wasnt here but I didnt think anything could happen or would so I just said yes .

"Yeah . Bring your backpack tho."

The doorbell rang and I quickly answered the door and he came in and sat on the couch and worked on homework . I was sure he was gonna try something but to my surprise he didnt . He was actually really focused and interested in his work . I found it slightly attractive . About 30 minutes in there was another knock on the door . It couldnt be CJ . It was only 4:00 and I disnt have to pick him up from practice until 6 . So who could it be ? I kindly asked Chresanto to get the door . He answered it, shook a mans hand and he asked for my mother . I thought this was strange and I just sat there overcame with confusion and curiousity .

Chresanto P.O.V.

I explained to the officer that Amethysts mother wasnt home but her daughter was . He then took off his hat and crossed his arms in front of him . I was confused but then another officer came with a folded flag and a box with a medal inside . I knew exactly what was going on and went over to Amethyst and hugged her and repeatedly stroked her hair and whispered "Im so sorry" to her . I walked her over to the door and she fell out of my arms onto thw floor with tears streaming from her eyes . She shook her head in disbelief and walked to her room .

Amethyst P.O.V.

Just the other day I was thinking about him . I was planning to visit him and tell him about how life was going and how much I missed and loved him . How much I appreciated him and how proud I was to be his daughter . I never got that closure and I would never see my father again . A piece was just torn from me as a whole and I still cant believe it . I tried to call my mom and left her a voicemail and CJ's phone went straight to voicemail . I shook my head and went back downstairs to thank the officers and let them out . I went and sat on the couch and Chresanto just stared at me . He looked at me with this hesitant questioning look, like he was loking for permission for something . I slowly nodded and he came and sat behind me while I turned around amd crossed my legs around him and cried into his chest and poured my heart out to him .

I still couldnt believe it and just now realized that daddy was gone .
