Hadlie had a sleep over

Saturday went by pretty slowly. I just sat around the apartment and did basically nothing. Dad questioned me about Haden. Asking the same questions over and over. It grew tiresome quickly.

So when I woke up Sunday, I grabbed my dads phone and called Beth.

"Yellow?" A peppy voice squeaked. That's Beth.

"Hey, it's Hadlie." I said with a yawn. "Wanna do something?"

"Sure, what's up, what can we do?" She asked excitedly.

"I'm not sure. What do you want to do?"

"Sleepover!" She yelled loudly, making me take the phone away from my ear for a second. "Pack a bag and I'll pick you up." She laughed with excitement. "It's raining so we can have a movie marathon and eat ice cream and-" I heard her clap her hands, "this is going to be so much fun!"

She asked for directions so I gave her my address and told her how to find me. I slipped out of bed and went to the kitchen to tell my dad.

"Good morning sunshine!" My dad yelled, throwing his hands in the air happily. His long red hair was perfectly combed out, but he still had his morning stubble.

"Forget to shave, dad?" I asked with a chuckle.

He felt his face and gasped, "oh no!" He yelled, making a mad dash to the bathroom. I only continued to laugh.

"Hey dad." I said after a bite to an apple.

"Yes, darling?" I heard as he drew the blade down his face.

"I'm sleeping over at a friends house tonight, okay?"

"A friend?" He peeked out at me, "this isn't Haden is it?"

"No." I shook my head. "This is Beth. You can meet her if you want- she's picking me up soon."

He smiled brightly at me, "you have a friend?!" I nodded. "Oh Hadlie!" He ran over and hugged me, shaving cream flying everywhere. "I'm so happy for you!"

"Okay dad." I pushed him off. "You're getting me all gross."

He clapped his hands and went back to shaving, so I finished my apple and went to grab some things. I took my back pack and shoved a change of clothes and my normal amenities in the bag, such as a hair brush, men's cologne, tooth brush, when I heard a beep, followed by a loud knock.

My dad beat me to the door. "Hello!" He gushed.

Beth stood there with her brown hair up in a very high ponytail, curls spilling around her chubby face. She wore a tight fitting flannel shirt and a pair of skinny jeans. "Hi! Are you Haldie's mom?"

Dad laughed, "no, I'm her father."

Beth just looked at my dad for a few seconds before she spotted me behind him. "Oh, hi Hadlie."

"Dad, this is Beth. But thank you for embarrassing me beyond repair." I smiled at him and tossed my bag over my shoulder. "I'll see you later." I kissed his cheek and left with Beth.

I slid in the front seat as she turned the car on. "So.. About your dad?" She said with an awkward giggle.

"He's a drag Queen." I laughed, "your face was priceless."

She laughed, turning down the road. "I felt so bad!"

We turned on to campus and parked where all students normally parked. We ran through the rain quickly, refusing to get wet. But we both failed in trying so.

"I hate the rain." Beth muttered as she thrushes the water off herself.

We went up to her room. It had the same layout as the twins room had, but everything was Pink and purple. Pink couch, purple chair, pink and purple marbled counter, pink and purple carpet, pink walls with purple circles.
