The wedding finally rolled 'round and everyone was excited, no one being more excited than Genie who hadn't realized how much he missed planning big events until this one. Dressed in their finest, Lamia and Jafar were perched above the crowd on Dark as they waited for the procession to start. Lamia was smiling softly, hand restlessly stroking her stomach, after visiting the wise women some months ago she knew her baby was healthy but it hardly did anything to ease her nerves and Jafar noticed it.
"Lamia..." She snapped out of her trance at glanced at her beloved with a soft smile. "Yes?" "You haven't stopped worrying about our baby ever since you visited the wise women. Are you sure you want to have this child?" "Of course I am. I'm just...worried about her health that's all." He smiled lightly. "I still think it's gonna be a boy." She returned it playfully. "Because Aladdin was born first?" "Maybe." She shoved him with a light laugh, he only smiled. The two fell silent when the trumpets blew and the procession started.
It was a lovely procession they both noted, though both believed it wasn't nearly as lovely as theirs. When Aladdin came to the end of the aisle there was a nervous look on his face, he looked up and caught Jafar's eye, the man smiled before mouthing 'you'll do great' and casting him a thumbs up, which made the former street rat smile. And then...it was Jasmine's turn to steal the show.
"That is one lovely dress." Lamia glared daggers at her beloved. "What do you mean by that oh husband of mine?" He looked like a kid with his hand caught in a cookie jar. "That both you and she were equally lovely on your wedding day?" Lamia paused, before smiling softly. "I can live with that." The older man sagged with relief.
It seemed like everything was going off without a hitch. Until the forty thieves decided to make an appearance.
"Looks like trouble sis." "Sure does big bro." The two siblings looked at each other, before grinning; they knew exactly what the other one was thinking. And with a dramatic flourish, they slipped out of their wedding appropriate behavior and into their old street mice ways. It felt natural to be so carefree all over again; like there was absolutely nothing to worry about.
But when all this fighting's done what will happen then? The wedding will resume and both Al and I will be stepping into adulthood. Lamia somehow found a moment to pat her belly. He's right, I'll probably never tell him 'cause that'll bloat his ego, but he is. It seems like it'd be easier if we had at least one of our parents to guide us. Her thoughts were interrupted when a thief knocked her down, as soon as she turned over there was a sword an inch from her chin.
"Any last words?" She smiled sweetly. "Just one:" before shouting; "RUBY!!" And the man was soon rammed into a marble column by an all too familiar giant cobra. Which, in a poof of red smoke, turned back into the ex-vizier. He dusted his hands off and looked to his wife with a loving wink that made her blush. Jasmine couldn't help marveling at the man's efficiency, Aladdin secretly envied it.
All too quickly the fun was over and the palace was wrecked, not that it mattered since Genie and possibly Jafar would have it fixed up in no time, but one question remained; why an invasion now, and what for?
It was right around then when they found the staff, the powers it contained, and an answer the siblings never saw coming.
"Dad's alive?!" Lamia screamed, the oracle nodded solemnly. "Indeed." The mother-to-be slumped back against her husband, lips parted and eyes wide. "Does this mean I should worry about his stamp of approval?" Asked Jafar, Lamia let out a faint, thunder-struck laugh, but looked to him and saw he was white as a sheet.

Evening fell and even before he said anything Lamia knew what her brother had in mind, as he did for her.
"What do you mean you're coming with me?!" She casually shrugged. "Just what I said; no way am I letting you look for dad alone." It was a little after the mess had been cleaned up and already Aladdin had decided he was going to look for dad. Despite the argument he was currently having with his sister, it wasn't a surprise to either of them (or anyone for that matter) that she was determined to come along.
"Lamia...you're not exactly..." She arched a silent brow, daring him to go on as one of her hands purposefully drummed on her belly. Aladdin sighed, his gaze going to the floor.
"There's no talking you out of this is there?" She bit back a laugh and half of a beaming smile. "Nope." Pause. "I'll make Jafar stay behind if that helps." "WHAT?!" Exclaimed the ex-vizer from the other side of the room.
Aladdin bit his lower lip and weighed his options; if he agreed to take Lamia with him then he could keep an eye on her, but if he insisted she stayed back then she'd just stow away and risk getting hurt. It's not that she was vulnerable, just pregnant. At least that's what she said. He sighed, pressing his palms to his face before peaking out through his fingers to look at his still smiling sister.
"Fine. But only because you're my sister and I miss being a street rat with my mouse sister."
And Lamia couldn't help squealing under her breath.
