Life is not fair, absurd even

We are products of our environment but also responsible for ourselves
The bad habits and behaviors we develop often create self-feeding, catch-22 situations where unintended or uncontrollable bad leads to responses which create more bad and the key to exiting these loops is usually exactly the thing you would have needed not to develop the behaviors in the first place
It's hard to love yourself and easy to despise yourself.

Envy is a cold snake that wraps chillingly against the heart and bones
Paranoia, coupled with self-hate creates a buffer against truth
Truth is needed to attain resolve and to prosper
Vices and indulgences will always offer an exhilarating fall to the bottom while virtues and temperance are an uphill journey to the city shining on the mountain and there's never any knowing how many hills lie before you on your personal journey or if you'll ever make it there — the bottom is guaranteed; the top you may never discover
