Chapter nine-

•Ashlyn's POV•

I've never been to poetry night. I mean I've heard about it but, I never actually made the effort to go. If it wasn't for Harry Styles I would still not have gone. However I am here in this little coffee shop with five abnormal boys and my roommate watching people attempt to rhyme in a beautiful way. For the last ten minutes I have been sipping on whatever Harry got me and listening to the boys laugh every time someone tried to say a poem. Some of them were actually good but, it didn't stop the boys from clutching their stomachs, leaning over and laughing. Personally I thought it was really rude and tried to avoid joining in with them.

"Ashlyn you look like you're at a funeral lighten up!" Niall said patting my arm.

I yanked it away from him.

"Maybe I would enjoy myself if I didn't have to listen to assholes laugh whenever people speak."

"Ouch. Did you hear that boys we're assholes!" Niall smirked.

"I love being an asshole." Harry said leaning back in his chair to stretch out his stomach.

"Well I think their fucking idiots that need to grow up." I spat.

People around us shushed towards our table for the hundredth time that night.

"That hurt!" Liam says dramatically laying his hand against his chest.

"Well get use to it." I fire back.

I could feel the boil of carter under my skin. In Harry's haste to get me out of my room I forgot to take my pills. I knew Carter was smiling. I tried to calm myself down but, Carter was already making her way out.

•Carter's POV•

I reached for Ashlyn's drink on the table. Picking it up I threw the contents onto the boys.

"How bout that? Does that hurt your fucking eyes?"

They all looked at me in shock. What did they expect? I'm not as nice as Ashlyn.

"Ashy?" Harry laughed "are you ok?"

He is laughing. Can't he tell I'm pissed! God I fucking hate guys.

"My name is not 'ashy' oh and fuck off." with that I stormed out of the coffee shop.

"DAMN IT!" I screamed.

I didn't want to make Ashlyn walk home. It's not safe but, I don't really have another choice the 'assholes' drove me here!

"Ashlyn?" Niall called.

"Go away." I said not bothering to turn around.

"You shouldn't be outside alone... It's not really that safe."

"Thanks for the tip babe." I said walking away.

"Where are you going?" He called after me.

"To Narnia." I said shoving my middle finger in the air.

I didn't hear a reply so I continued to walk trying to remember the path we took here. Maybe i should let Ashlyn out she might have been paying more attention then I was.

~Don't do that idiot. She will just turn around and walk back in there. Actually do that! Those boys were cute.~

"Britney unless you know the way back, SHUT UP!"

~Jesus calm down mrs fiery pants~

"If only you could kill personalities... Oh you would be so dead. It's a good thing I like Ashlyn and myself"

~Yeah, yeah whatever. Make a left~

I paused on the street corner

"How do I know you're not lying?"

~why would I want to get raped?~

"Have you met yourself?"

~just make a left! You should know I'm use to having to remember things. It's not easy to walk home from a random dudes house in heels, it would be even worse if I couldn't remember where I was going.~

I made a left and kept walking down the street until I came to another corner.

~right~

It was like this for ten more minutes. I would walk and Britney would tell me where to turn. When I finally saw the school I let out a sigh of relief heading towards the dorms.

•Ashlyn's POV•

I felt myself climbing the stairs to my room. Stairs? Wasn't I at poetry night?

"Oh my god Carter what did you do?!"

~nothing they didn't deserve...~

"Holy shit my feet are killing me! Did I walk here? Wait, what do you mean deserved?" I said opening the door into the long hallway.

~it doesn't matter~

I was about to refute when I saw a figure slouched against the outside of my dorm room. I carefully inched closer to the person until I recognized the hair on the head that was tucked between knees.

"Ashton?"

His head shot up. The first thing I noticed were his eyes, they were red. He is drunk.

"Heeeey Ashlynnn!" He slurred.

I leaned down reaching for his hands.

"Come on let's get you back to your room." I said trying to heave him off the ground.

"My room?" He whinnied reluctantly standing up. "I don't want to go to my room."

I let go of his hands and he leaned against the wall for support.

"Ashton you have to go to your room. You need sleep, class is starting tomorrow."

He frowned crossing his arms against his chest.

"I don't want to go to my room." He said again.

"Well where do you want to go then Ash?" I sighed getting a little annoyed.

"Can I just stay with you?"
