"Here's the deal" my dad said, leaning against the car at the gas station. I shifted my weight placing my hand on my hip. "What kind of deal are we talking about father dearest because if it's my soul you want I'm afraid I'm out!" I said sarcastically. My dad rolled his eyes, "Lucy when are you ever going to stop being sarcastic, no I don't want your soul I want you to give Tori a chance talk to her we are on a road trip just make small talk." I stuck my lip out making a pouty face. "But but daddy you said I didn't have to give my soul away!" My dad tucked a lock of my messy brown curls behind my ear. "Lucy please she's your step mom please just try to get along."

"Fine!" I muttered while getting into the car slamming the door and glanced in the mirror if Only he knew what a monster Tori was. Tori walked out of the gas station carrying the bag of water and snacks like it was a garbage bag she looked so out of place with her heavily done makeup and fancy dress along with huge heals. She then made her way over to my dad and kissed him while I made a sick face to my dad when she walked away he rolled his eyes and continued to fill the tank to the car. She got into the car and looked at me " Lucy darling what you put on your body says who you are darling and what I see right now is a hobo." I looked at my clothes I had on a plaid button down shirt and skinny jeans. Before I could say something back she then proceeded to keep talking about me harshly " Lucy come on your 16 maybe some makeup and a flat iron could do you well." I looked at her with real hate. I glanced out my window catching my reflection I had very curly hair that comes just before my shoulder and pale skin with freckles and deep blue eyes I sighed and replied with the same answer I always do. "Not everyone can be like you Tori now can they." Then she pats my head and smiles and says that's right like always. Just then my dad got in the car. "Who's ready to go on a road trip" my dad yelled. As I sunk deeper into my seat blasting my music to full blast and closed my eyes.
