chapter 8

When I got into the second room the water came flooding in with me. The door behind me shut and Locked and the water started to disappear from a drain in the middle of the floor. Once the water was gone i got a  picture of the room. It looked the same as the first room just a little bit bigger. I Sat down I needed a moment to think. Ok so I'm in a maze karma is in the maze to. Me and him are supposed to be racing for something important I don't really know what. So that means I should probably hurry. I got up and shivered. I was soaking wet right now from the last room. I took another step into the room. Ok I have to decide which door I'm going to choose. I think to myself. I look at the three doors around the room. Only two of them are able to be opened at this point. I shake my head. At this point it's no use thinking about it. The doctors didn't say who ever looses dies. We just don't get the prize. I signed and turned to the closest door and was bout to open it when I heard a voice.
"Do you really want to open that one?" Said the voice . I looked around but I didn't see anything. And I didn't sound like the camera and I assumed they weren't going to help.
"Yes I'm sure" I say out loud.
"Then what are you waiting for?" The voice said.
" Nothing ! " I say defensively. And start to walk to the door but I was stopped. But it wasn't a voice this time. I looked down and my feet were frozen to the floor! I tried to pull them free but had no luck. The ice was slowly but surely making its way up my body.
"What the hell?!" I said. And tried harder to pull myself from the ice
" you don't seem so sure" the voice said.
"Who are you?!" I said as I continued to struggle.
"Why do you hesitate if you are so sure than move. Why don't you move?" The voice said.
" cause I'm stuck! " i protest.
"Are you stuck? Or do you just want to die?"
" I .....I don't know" I said suddenly unsure. I looked down and I was no longer stuck. the ice had disappeared i tried to walk forward but I was still stuck. Even though I was no ice at all.
"You blame your problems on other but when are you going to wake up?" The voice said
" I don't.... I'VE never blamed my problems on anyone. " I said
"Really? How interesting you really can't think of anything at all."
" Nope" I said sure of my self.
" how did your mother die?" the voice asked.
"My father killed her" I said
" really? I was under the impression that you killed her" suddenly a voice echoed in the room.
"YOUR FAULT! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT" the echo screamed. It took me a second to realize it was my father's voice.
" No" I mumbled. "YOU PULLED THE TRIGGER!" I shouted to no one.
" even if you didn't shoot her what was the reason your father did. He told you him self. " the voice said.
" Your fault.... All your fault" my father echoed again.
"My fault" I whispered.
"Do you remember what your father and mother were fighting about before you killed her" the voice whispered. I shiver the voice didn't say it like a question. I shook my head no.
"Well then let me show you" the voice said. And everything went dark.
The past
I opened my eyes and saw my mom and dad sitting next to each other. "Honey I think I'm a little to young for children" my mom said.
"We'll talk about this later. I have some were to be right now." My father said and got up off the couch.
" Don't be to long dear" my mom said. My father just nodded and walked away.
" follow him" said a person standing right next to me. I looked over in surprise. It was me.
"Who are you?" I asked.
" that's obvious. I'm you. And you want to know what really happened all those years ago right? " second me said. I nodded And we ran after my dad. We followed him out of the house and into the forest that I used to escape him before.
"Brings back memories right?" The second me said. I nodded And shuddered .
"You got the money" a guy in a suit was asking my father. My father nodded and handed the man a wad of cash. In return the strange man handed my father a bag full of some kind of powder.
"Drugs?" I asked.
" just watch" second me said. My father stuffed it into his pocket and walked back to the house.
"I'm home!" He said. " would you like some tea sweet heart. " he said.
"Thank you dear." She said. He made the tea and put the powder in the tea he mixed it up and gave it to her.
" what is he giving her? " I asked.
"I don't know something that made you different from normal humans that's all I know. Our father did this everyday to your mother. I Think he was hoping to do something to her. Eventually she got pregnant with you.
She went to the doctors and she started to realize what was happening.... Just look." Second me said pointing to my mother . The scenery had changed now she was in her room crying on the floors alone.
"Its ok baby.... It's ok. You and me are going to get out of here together no matter what." He cried patting her now huge stomach. " I've made plans well will escape" she mumbled.
"But I was born and me and her were still here?" I say confused
" well she got caught... " second me said.
"Then what?" I said.
" well our father started drinking a lot and she got......punished" he said pointing to a now New scenery. I looked over and saw her being beat by my father.
"STOP!" I yelled running forward. I grabbed my father's shoulder . And I was going to pull him away from her. Put my hand slid right through him.
"There's nothing we can do. This isn't real it's just a memory." The second me said.
" I'll just tell you the rest sense your acting like a baby. " the second me continued. "Well you were born and your mother watched you grow for six years before she had enough she was going to run away with you. After being punished six years ago she was on her best behavior so that our father wouldn't suspect a thing. She got caught and was killed. " the second me finished.
"She was going to save me" I say my eyes widened. Tears filled my eyes. For the six years I was with my parents my mom was never cruel to me she only ever smiled no matter what. I felt my knees give in. I fell to the ground and was back in the room full of ice.
"So in the end. You were wrong about everything. You thought she was leaving you and your father but no she was trying to save you and she killed for it. You killed your mother and father" the voice whispered.
The walls started to echo and Chant
" murderer your a murderer "
"Please stop" I begged tears falling down my eyes.
"If you want it to stop than get up" said a girl. I looked up And the door that I was heading for earlier was opened and a girl was standing there with her hand extended.
"Take my hand and c'mon" she said and grinned at me. I lifted my arm and reached for her. But suddenly my hands were frozen to the floor.
"Stop!"  The voice shouted. " I'm not finished! Your friend what's his name.. Ah yes karma. You think he's your friend but"
"On shut your mouth" the girl said and walked in and grasped my hand and yanked me forward into the next room slaming the door close behind her.
"Sorry about the rough treatment" she said smiling at me.
