Merry Christmas (Cute/Requested)

Melissa's POV:

Today Jonah and I were going to his families house for Christmas, I mean you would probably think I would be nervous but I'm not. I actually have known them for a while... and all throughout high school Esther and I were best friends. That's actually how I met Jonah, Esther and I were partners for a history project and when we decided to go to her house to work on it I saw Jonah. It wasn't like I hadn't seen him around before because I had but it wasn't ever more than just a glance in the halls. But that day working on our history project changed that, I was invited to stay for dinner and one thing led to another and I started talking to Jonah. From that day on it wasn't just me and Esther hanging out all the time, Jonah gradually made himself a bigger and bigger presence in my life every day. We started hanging out more and next thing I knew a month later we were together.

That was 10 months ago. Now Jonah and I have been together for 11 months and we couldn't be happier.

Jonah and I pulled up into his driveway and headed inside. He didn't bother knocking seeing at his was his families home. Immediately his mother and sisters showered him in hugs. The smile on his face was beautiful, I had always loved seeing the bond he had with his family. Esther pulled away from Jonah and ran over to me and gave me the tightest hug.

"Merry Christmas Melissa I missed you but your here and have no choice but to stay." Esther jokes with a smile.

"Merry Christmas E I missed you too. You know I'd never leave I love you guys."

"Awe well don't you forget that we love you too." Mrs. Marais came over and gave me a hug as well.

The second that hug was over I felt arms around my waist and. I look down and see Svea, "Awe Merry Christmas sweetie." I bent down and gave her a hug.

When I pulled away I saw Jonah and Esther whispering to each other. I crinkled my eyebrows together and was about to go over to them when suddenly Esther rushes away upstairs. I decide to shake it off and answer a question Mrs. Marais had asked me.

Svea ushers me to the couch and starts rambling excitedly about something that happened when I notice Esther sneak something into Jonah's hand before he quickly puts it in his pocket. 'what is going on?' I think to myself but try to brush it off and listen to Svea.

~Time Skip~

"Can we do presents now?" Svea pleads to everyone.

"I suppose we could to that." Mama Marais smiles. "Everyone come to the living room."

Everyone obliged and walked in. Jonah and I sat next to each other on the loveseat while everyone else crowded onto the couch. Esther shoots her hand up, "Id like to pass my things out first." she stands up and smiles before grabbing the presents she got for everyone and passed them out. Everyone opened their things with big smiles and lots of thank you's. When I finally opened mine and saw a scrap book of all our memories together along side a charm to go with my charm bracelet, the happiest of smiles broke onto my face and I rushed up to go give Esther a hug. "thank you so much." I tell her.

~Another Time Skip~

Lastly it was Jonah, he smiled and got up to give everyone their gifts. His sisters both smiled and gave him a hug. Svea and Esther both got tickets to go to England for a week when Jonah and the rest of Why Don't We goes there for their next tour. When I opened mine from Jonah it was a small box, so I opened it but made a slightly confused face. 'look up' is all it read. I looked up and in front of me I saw Jonah with a ring in his hands. I dropped the box and my hands immediately flew to my mouth. "Jonah..." is all I could get out.

He chuckles and smiles at me. "Melissa... I love you so much and I never want you to forget that. You are the most amazing, beautiful, most kind and intelligent person I have ever met. You have taught me things about this world and about myself. You have shown me what it really means to love someone with all your heart. I want to promise you my love and commitment for you. Yes we are young so this isn't a proposal for marriage but a promise. With this ring I promise myself to you, forever and always. And when the time is right I will take this promise ring and make it an engagement ring. I love you so much and with this ring I want it to remind you of that everyday." Jonah pours out to me.

"Jonah..." I say again with tears gently rolling down my cheek. I slide off the couch and wrap my arms around him. "I love you too.. so, so much." I tell him honestly.

I feel his arms wrap around me as well. "-wait," I pull away. "Let's put the ring on." I smile through my happy tears. He chuckles and slides it onto my finger. "Merry Christmas ." he says with the biggest, goofiest, best smile on his face. I giggle, "Merry Christmas to you too dork." I smile as we both embrace each other in another hug.

I open my eyes and see his family smiling at us with tears of their own streaming down their face. The amount of happiness in this room was absolutely unbelievable. Everyone makes their way over to us and we end up having a big group hug. This moment is perfect and I wouldn't trade it for anything i'm the whole world.
