"Right this way." The waitress said, leading us to a small table in the corner of the room.
We sat and ordered drinks, chatting until our food came. Aria practically inhaled her burger. I was so nervous I barely touched my food. I watched her as she ate, taking her in. She was really pretty. I guess she noticed me staring because she looked up,
"What?" She asked, smiling.
I looked down at my nearly full plate.
"Come on." She cooed.
"Nothing." I responded, dismissively.
I looked back up at her, she sat up straight, uncomfortable.
"Oh," She said quietly. "Okay."
She finished and the waiter brought us our check. I paid and stood, motioning for her to do the same. She followed me out the door and into my truck. I opened her door for her and helped her in. I walked around to the front of the car and hopped in. I put the key in the ignition and the car whirred to life. We didn't talk much the whole way back to Graham's house. It was a bit awkward, but I enjoyed her company...I hope she enjoyed mine. We pulled into the driveway and Graham immediately opened the front door as if he'd been awaiting our arrival. I shut the car off and walked around to help Aria. I walked her to the front where Graham was standing, smiling.
"Um Aria this is Graham." I said motioning towards him. "Graham, Aria."
"Hey." Aria smiled sweetly.
Graham seemed to shift uncomfortably. "Hey sweetheart." He said, blushing up at her.
Aria walked through the front door and I shoved Graham lightly, giving him a What the hell do you think you're doing look. He smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"Piss off." I muttered.
I walked to Aria, shoving my hands in my pockets and asked,
"Wanna go upstairs?"
Her eyes sparkled as she nodded her head.
I led the way, Aria following close behind. I opened the door to the guest room that I stayed in most of the time when I was over at Graham's.
"Your room's very nice." Aria said, smiling at me.
I decided not to correct her and simply nodded my head. I noticed her eyes landed on my vinyl collection in the corner of the room. She seemed upset. I turned to her.
"You okay?" I asked, placing my hand gently on her arm.
She flinched at my touch, but adjusted after a moment.
"Not really, if I'm honest." She said, making eye contact with me.
"Oh." I said, gently grabbing her hands in mine.
She smiled slightly, looking down at our intertwined fingers. She looked back into my eyes,
"Those records just remind me of..." she trailed off, her eyes watering slightly. "They remind me of Tyler, that's all."
She looked away from me, but I released her hand to place mine on her chin, forcing her to look back at me.
"Don't cry okay?" I said.
She nodded her head and wiped her eyes, pulling away from me.
"You'll get over him." I said reassuringly.
"Uh, yeah...I guess." She said.
It seemed as though she was hoping to be told something else. She'll learn to be strong. She turned away from me.
"Hey Lucas?" She asked, her back facing me.
"Yeah?" I responded, nervous.
She turned back around, facing me, and took a couple steps closer. I could feel her breath on my chest, sending shivers down my spine: the good kind.
"Can you kiss me again?" She whispered, looking into my eyes.
Without hesitating, I pressed my lips to hers. The kiss was a bit disorganized, but full of passion. She pulled away and I looked into her eyes. I couldn't help what I said next. The words just tumbled out of my mouth without thinking.
"I love you." I blurted, immediately going pale.
Too soon.
She smiled down at her shoes before looking back up at me and connecting our lips once more. I pulled her into my arms, embracing her. I took in her smell, rubbing my hands gently on her back. I closed my eyes, but immediately heard a loud click, followed by a flash. Aria, startled, pulled away.
"Graham what the hell?!"  I shouted, looking back at Aria to see her reaction.
She seemed embarrassed.
"That one's getting framed." Graham said, turning the Polaroid towards us.
He wasn't joking. Aria looked really nice. I couldn't help but stare at the photo and memorize every bit of it: the way Aria's body curved into mine, the way the light brought out my favorite features on her, the way that-
"Lucas!" Graham yelled, shaking me out of my trance.
"You okay?" Aria asked, looking up at me.
I leaned against the wall beside us,
"Yeah sorry." I said, laughing it off.
Graham left the room and headed downstairs, taking the picture with him. There was a long silence between the two of us.
"I should probably get going." Aria said, looking down.
Was she not having a good time? Did she not like me the same way? Shit shit shit. What do I do? How can-
Aria stood up on her tiptoes and kissed me gently, catching me off guard. I stared at her, wide eyed, as she pulled away.
"See ya later." She said, smiling.
"Don't you need me to drive you?" I asked, trying to find a way to be with her longer.
Aria shook her head, "It's not far. I can walk." She looked me in the eyes and smiled.
"Bye Lucas."
She turned and walked out the room. I began to follow her, but Graham stood in my way.
"Dude what the hell?" I whisper-yelled.
"You'll thank me later." Graham said, pushing past me.
I heard the front door open and shut, signaling that Aria had left.
I sighed, "Okay well, where's the picture." I asked.
Graham sat on the bed and looked down at the ground, "I'll get it for you later."
I rolled my eyes, not caring for an argument right now. Actually...I can argue.
"Graham, what if I had literally been naked in here when your fat ass decided to bust in?" I put my hands on my hips, staring him down.
He said nothing.
"Okay," I tried to think of a worse scenario. "What if she had been naked?"
Graham smirked, staring at his shoes.
"Would've been better to jerk off to."
My jaw literally dropped to the floor.
"What the fuck did you just say?" I sneered.
Graham looked over at me.
"I'm keeping that picture." He said, smiling devilishly.
I shot up at him, lunging for the bed, and grabbing him by the dirt collar.
"The fuck you're not." I spat.
Graham seemed unfazed.
"Give it time Lucas." He paused. "Eventually she'll be mine."

So school starts tomorrow...if I don't post in a while I'm either dead, stressed, or busy. Adios...ima go cry.
