"And that's 10 laps in 8 minutes! What are you doing Alicia? You are at an elite sports school, so do what you're expected to do or just pack your bags and leave!"
After Mrs Develi's outburst I joined my friends who were already done with their laps.
"What's going on Alicia?" My best friend Amy asked. "It's just Develi" I answered, "She brings me down with all of her negative comments."
Develi is my main sports teacher and gives me my sports massages, but ever since she came here, 2 months ago, she's hated me.
I'd always been a top student and had broken many school records, but because of her, I was just losing my motivation.
After class Amy, me and Samantha, also a good friend of mine, all went to our anatomy class.
Us three gils were the only ones in our year. That's because our school had been a boys only school for over a century and our year was the first one where it was permitted for girls to join the program.
Because of that we only have 3 girls in our year and 7 in the entire school.
But it has it's perks, we get a lot of attention from the boys for example. And Samantha uses that perk, mostly to get hookups. She has a new guy every week and I don't even know where she gets them.
Personally I try to stay away from the guys so I can focus on my sports, but it's not like I mind the attention.
After anatomy class I had my massage, wich I normally love. But because Mrs Develi does them so rough I don't enjoy them as much as I used to.
When I arrived at the table she wasn't there, wich is pretty unusual, because she is always on time.
After ten minutes I heard the sound of the door opening and saw the principal approaching me.
As he walked towards me he said he had some bad news. He told me Mrs Develi would be taking a break for the rest of the year because her husband had just died. He said he would make sure we had a new teacher tomorrow but that my massage wouldn't be until next week.
When I sat on the bus home I felt guilty about being happy about Mrs Develi leaving, because of the reason she left. But then my mind drifted away from that thought as I wondered who my new teacher would be...
