Lauren's POV

"Ash, I love you, I really do, but we can't be together." I choke out, I didn't want to do this but I had to. I look up and see he's crying.

"Why? What'd I do?" he asks.

"I-I don't have a choice, you didn't do anything, can we be friends? I don't want to do this." I say, running out of his house. I text my best friend, Maria, to ask her to pick me up saying I'll explain later.

~ Next Morning ~

I wake up at Maria's house, I told her everything last night. She was the only one who knew my parents, if i can call them that, I never see them and when I do theyre horribly rude to me, I'm not sure why they told me to break up with Ashton but, honestly, I'm a bit afraid of them.

When I walk downstairs I see Maria on the couch, she's on her phone scrolling through instagram. I text Luke, Michael and Calum saying

'Can you check on Ash? Tell him I'm sorry and didn't have a choice. thanks'

Maria must've told Cal, they're dating if I didn't mention that.

"Uh, Laur don't hate me but the boys are coming over today." Maria says.

"Ok, I'm gonna go get ready" I say as I walk upstairs, i come over a lot and this is basically my 2nd home. I shower and put on denim shorts and some soccer tournament shirt that I had, most of my clothes were here. I put my long, dirty blonde hair in a ponytail. I skip the makeup, they've all seen me look worse. When I walk down they're all on the couches talking, I say hi and walk into the kitchen for breakfast. I get Cheerios and stay in the kitchen to eat.

"Hey, Ashton told us. Uh I'm sorry but why?" I hear Luke's voice from behind me. Should I tell him? No... Luke has always been like a brother to me, but I don't want them to know.

"I can't say.. I really really didn't want to." I say as I start to cry. He pulls me into a hug as I cry into his chest.
