PROLOGUE

"No! Stop! Stop!" Gia was filled with terror as she fought back.

"You want this. You know you do," Leon Carmine breathed into her ear as he roughly pinned her to the wall and used one of his callused hands to rip her delicate chiffon blouse open. In truth, she should have seen this coming. The signs had been there. Leon Carmine had proven himself in recent months to be the most repulsive human being she had ever met in her life.

Ever since she had been hired as his daughter's nanny, Gia had to deal with his blatant attempts to get her attention. She had made it abundantly clear on more than one occasion that she simply wasn't interested but he still persisted. It was clear that he saw her as a challenge and because he was always used to getting his way, her rejection was something that he would not accept. She just never expected that it would ever get to this point. That he would take it this far.

As she observed the look of triumph in Leon's cruel eyes, Gia suddenly began to feel an inner strength. All the anger she had been carrying inside her for months suddenly reached its boiling point. She was not weak. Life experiences had taught her to be strong, to stand up for herself and this situation called for her to do just that. She would not let this pathetic excuse for a man take advantage of her. She had to fight.

His hands were so strong that it was almost impossible for her to break free. Luckily for her she remembered something she had seen on the news once about the various ways a woman could fight back if she was ever in a situation such as this. She knew what she had to do. Gia realized that she could free one of her legs if she tried hard enough. While Leon smothered her face with sloppy wet kisses that caused her to feel nauseous, she used all her energy to wiggle one of her legs free. As soon as she was able to get enough room, Gia tactfully used her right knee to kick him with as much force as she could muster in the groin.

"Get your filthy hands off me!" she screamed as soon as her knee made contact. Much to Gia's relief, the impact caused him to immediately release her now throbbing wrists. Leon stumbled backwards and tripped over a toy that his daughter Stella had been playing with earlier. She felt an increasing sense of empowerment. He was simply a rich old man who wanted to get his kicks sleeping with the hired help.

"You bitch," Leon snarled as he rubbed the side of his foot from where he lay on the floor.

Thank you Riviera Dollhouse Gia thought to herself, grateful for the presence of the toy on the floor.

"You're going to regret doing that."

"I highly doubt that," Gia said angrily as she tried to close the front of her badly torn blouse. "How dare you? You think you could just take whatever you wanted from me?" She shook her head in disgust. "You really are one of the saddest men I have ever met."

"I'm one of the richest men in the world. The only sad person in this room is you. Did you somehow get the impression that you're worth something girl? Answer me," he yelled. Gia rolled her eyes in disgust which further enraged him. "Perhaps if I come back over there, you'll suddenly find your voice again. Yes, that is what I need to do. I need to come finish what I started," he added with a wicked laugh after struggling to get back on his feet.

Recognizing exactly what he meant by that particular statement, her skin immediately began to crawl. "Don't you come near me Mr. Carmine; I would never ever sleep with you." Gia looked frantically around the room for some sort of weapon she could use. Oh why did she ever think of coming into the pool house alone?

"I would never ever sleep with you," he repeated her words mockingly while his eyes slid lazily over her body which only made her skin crawl so much more. "Do you know how many women would love to be in your shoes? You should be grateful that I even look at you."
