“Welcome to Britain's Got Talent”, boomed the voice of the Co-Host, Ant, throughout the theater. “Let’s invite our judges in”.
“We have Simon Cowell”, voiced the other Co-Host, Dec.
“Alesha Dixon”.
“David Walliams”.
“As you all remember, before our break, our fourth beloved judge, Amanda Holden, could not be here tonight. In her place, all the way from America, we have singer/songwriter, Castiel Novak”, concluded Ant.
Clapping and whooping spreads through the audience as the judges take their seats. Cas shakes hands with his fellow judges, the ones he had only met just today. They smile at him, giving off an awkward vibe.
Let's get this over with.
The second half of the show has him just as nervous as the first. Of course, Cas has done judging in the US before which should ease his mind but it only makes the feeling worse. He hates taking part in these types of auditioning shows. The fact that he has to break someone's dreams is bad enough but because these shows are usually built on scams, makes the fact that he supports them even worse.
He truly only does these guest starring roles for the fans. He knows they get overly excited about it. It also gave him a chance to take his family out on a vacation, for a very small price.
His husband and his daughter are somewhere, watching in the audience. He can’t spot them due to the immense crowd but hopes they have enjoyed the show so far.

Three acts in, Castiel gets bored. He can’t deny that these people did have talent but it is just so vanilla. They come in, do a little dance, get four yes’ and walk off. None of these acts have wowed him yet. Made him drop his jaw.
He didn’t get much sleep last night either. Trying to settle into a hotel room at two in the morning, with a four year old daughter and a sleep-deprived husband is harder than it sounds. Finally, after getting accommodated, he got five hours of shut-eye before he had to get ready to go make his appearance. His body and mind both exhausted.
He wanted an act that would have him awestruck but these contestants have proved him otherwise.
They were lacking something. The acts needed to be more raw and less “precise”. Something that the audience can enjoy but that does not portray a feeling of fakeness from the performer. He could tell the judges felt it as well.
________Meanwhile Backstage________
“Are you ready to surprise him?”, Ant asks the next contestant.
“Wait, now?”, the man replies, tugging at the sleeves of his leather jacket.
“Yes, now. Just walk right through and stand on the x. We will watch the little princess for you”, Ant informs him.
Before making his way on stage, the contestant places a kiss on his daughter's forehead and she replies with a giggle.
“Wish me good luck”, he whispers.
“Good luck, dada”.
Dean grins while his feet take him across the stage as his guitar lays against his back. He spots Castiel looking down and huffs out the breath he hadn't realized he was holding in. He straightens his back, trying to summon any confidence, as he lands on the x.
Cas did not realize that the next contestant made their way on stage and he stuffs his phone in his pocket. He looks up and chokes on air. He cannot believe who is standing right infront of him, on stage.
