sometimes we forget to remember ourselves. most of us spend so much time focusing on fixing others that we leave our own mental health out of the equation and further damage it more.
as much as it's important to help others, you have to be there for yourself. you have to make yourself known of the fact that you're beautiful, handsome, valid, and just flat out perfect the way you are.
personally, i deal with my insecurities by being there for those who're going through similar issues, making sure they never have to feel the way i feel. at the end of the day though, no matter how accomplished i feel, i continue to feel incomplete. this is because i fix others before even attempting at fixing myself. this isn't a healthy lifestyle, even if it revolves around shining positivity to those around me.
learn to be there for you rather than others all the time, refrain from being so down on yourself. you're you, and nothing anyone says or does can change that. your you is a masterpiece. one only you, no one else, could perfect. you're unique and you have so many amazing qualities.
as a person who's gone through things, i'm aware of how difficult that is to accept. as you're reading this, you're doing one of two things.
1. knowing what you're reading is correct, but you don't think you deserve self acceptance
or
2. not believing it at all and wanting to get off this book because it's all nonsense
and both of those are more than valid :). for those of you who relate most to number one, i want you to know that you shouldn't be afraid of happiness. just because things haven't gone right in the past, doesn't mean they can't start improving now. you deserve all the best for yourself, i can assure you of that.
for those of you who relate most to number two, i know how you're feeling and i've been in your same shoes. you read things on the internet all the time, being related to "inspirational quotes" and what-not. you believe that they're inaccurate. although, once you gain a better sight on life itself, you'll soon learn that it's genuinely the healthiest way to go about everything.
sometimes you have to encourage yourself to believe things you may not free willingly accept.
but, you're all only human. each being ones who fight daily battles. still with all of that weight though, you're here right now. you're alive, maybe not thriving the way you'd like, but you're here. and you've made it so far past everything in your life that could have kept you back.
i may not personally know anyone who's reading this, but sure know that i love you for you.
no matter if you're straight, gay, bisexual, lesbian, asexual, anyone who's part of the lgbtq+ community, black, white, hispanic, asian, indian, etc. you are accepted by me no matter what.
accept yourself for who you are. stop hurting yourself when you should embrace your qualities.
smile :) , keep moving forward , be strong.
all the love,
K.
