"C'mon Mattea! Jump in it's the perfect temperature," Emily yelled at me as I was watching my friends enjoy the beautiful fall afternoon in my pool. I wasn't feeling the need or comfort to go in, but all my friends were pushing me to do so. I've always been self-conscious about my weight. Showing my body off, in general, has never been my thing. I'm no model, but somehow all my friends seem to be, they're skinny, gorgeous, and sweet which is insane.
I took off my clothes revealing a dark navy one-piece swimsuit; my friends smiled as I jumped in to enjoy my 18th birthday.

I had gotten back from a quick break from my band a few weeks ago, and it was time to head back and work on more music. We've only been together for a few months, but I surely believe we'll do something incredible in the future.

As I sat down beside the window on the plane, the engine began to roar, and we were driving towards the takeoff strip. Suddenly, my heart began to flutter slowly. I was sure it was something about my soulmate but who knows.
