"DON'T JUST STAND THERE, YOU BRATS! PUT IT OUT!" Ms. Volderpan screamed, running around the class like a lunatic. Even though most of us didn't want to, all of the students in the class including me, rushed over to the sink in the corner of the class and filled these plastic cups that we aren't allowed to use. Well I guess we can now. After the cups were filled, one by one, we all splashed Ms. Volderpan with, surprisingly, ice cold water. The fun part was that we all got to splash that old hag with water. The bad part was that we all had to have our ears suffer through the smoke alarm that rang when the smoke from Ms. Volderpan's dress and hair reached the alarms.
After 3 hours, the mess was finally cleaned up. That is, the physical mess. My mess with Ms. Volderpan still was as dirty as ever. She told the principal about our little conversation and I was suspended for a week. The principal called my mom and she rushed over to see what happened.
"Mrs. Valantana, your daughter has bad-mouthed her history teacher, Ms. Volderpan. I am suspending her for a week because of her behavior."
"What?! She bad-mouthed her history teacher?! I will certainly punish her when we get home. Come on, young lady. We are going straight home! Outside, now!"
"But mom! She called me a brat, and told us to shut up! I couldn't take it anymore! She's such a-"
"Samus, don't take me seriously when I told you I was going to punish you. I believe you. Remember that time when I went to volunteer to help out?"
"Yes...why?"
"Well, one minute she's Ms. Nice, then when I walk out of the room for a while and...BAM. She's Ms. Mean."
"Oh...OH. So, you secretly saw how she treated us?"
"Yep."
I was so happy and relieved. I thought she was actually going to punish me. Also, she believed me!
I hugged her and said,"Thank you for believing me and not punishing me, Mom."
"Yeah, well don't expect me not to punish you when you do something like this again and I have no evidence that you were telling the truth", she said, hugging me back.
"Oh! Also, get in the car. I need to tell you something when we get home", she whispered, letting go of me and getting into the driver's seat. "Okay...?" I said, puzzled and we drove off towards our home.
When we got home, my mom told me to sit down on the couch, so we could talk. I sat down on our comfy, sky blue couch as my mom took at seat next to me. She held both of my hands in hers.
"Samus, sweetheart. I think it's about time you knew something about yourself", my mom said, looking straight into my eyes.
"Um...yeah? What is it?" I asked, scared and excited at the same time.
"Well, I don't know how else to put this but...Samus, honey. You're an Elemental."
