Ron and Hermione had only began dating at the end of their 5th year at Hogwarts and now going into their 6th year, they felt more grown up and independent. That was why Hermione was allowed to stay with the Weasley's for the whole summer.
Ron and Hermione were sitting on the sofa together, Hermione was leaning against Ron reading a book whilst Ron played with Hermione's messy curls. They had finally found some peace and quiet in the Burrow when Molly Weasley screamed from outside "Ronald Weasley, get out here now and help your father!". Ron sighed and stood up, leaving Hermione alone in the living room. Once Ron had left, Ginny, Ron's younger sister, walked in, " 'Mione! 'Mione! I have a secret to tell you!" Hermione sat up on the sofa to make space for Ginny to sit down. "What is it Ginny?" Hermione replied, she secretly loved secrets. "I... I heard Fred saying your name in his sleep last night," Ginny giggled. Hermione looked shocked, not knowing whether to believe her friend of not. "Are you sure Ginny? Are you sure you weren't just imagining it?" "Of course I didn't imagine it 'Mione! I came downstairs to get a glass of water because I couldn't sleep. Fred was asleep on the sofa, moaning your name." Ginny giggled again. "But Ginny, I love Ron. Surely Fred knows that?" "He might know it... But he can't hide his undying love for you!" The little red headed girl was now giggling uncontrollably, obviously amused by her brother's dream. Hermione got up and left the room, walking up the narrow stairs to the room she shared with Ginny.
Once she had reached the room she threw herself onto her bed, she was confused and upset, her emotions going wildly out of control. The only people that had ever liked her were Viktor Krum and Ronald Weasley, and she didn't even think that Viktor even liked her! She had next to no experience with boys and Fred probably had tons of experience with girls... What was she even thinking?! She was dating his little brother! Did she have unknown feelings for Fred Weasley?
