Toshiro Hitsuguya was the soul reaper who found the message. So of course he was the one to report it. Though he thought it odd, the head captain's reaction. Then they had a captain's meeting. "Captain Hitsuguya please report what you saw." The head captain said. "It was just two words but obviously each was written by a different person. They just said 'We're Back'. 'We're' was in giant letters while 'Back' was in smaller script, so small I could hardly read it even leaning in close." Toshiro reported. Ukitake said,"You don't think....." "I do and I know. I went there myself." Was the head captainâs response. "What are we talking about here?" Kurosutchi asked. "Along time ago before Chojiro about 120 years ago there were two lieutenants of squad 1." Kyoraku said. The others were confused."Two girls. They fought the two who are back are the ones who they chased into their own trap. Mariposa Abrazo (Butterfly Embrace) and Montanoso Guardia (Mountainous Guard). Two prototype arrancars." Unohana explained. "So what is going on?" Kumomura asked. "Abrazo and Guardia have it out for the soul society and we can only assume that their appearance means that my two lieutenants were slain." The head captain said. Soifon and Byakuya were both silent in remembering their friends even though some days the two were annoying."We had best inform Yoruichi of this," Ukitake said. The head captain nodded and said, "Dismissed."Ukitake went to his office. He sent a hell butterfly to Yoruichi. He could only imagine how Yoruichi would react....

In the world of the living Yoruichi was lazing about on the rooftop. That was when she received the hell butterfly. "Yoruichi, it has been confirmed that Mariposa Abrazo and Montanoso Guardia are back and  only the worst for Shi-Shi and Hizu are assumed for they have not been seen or heard from." Yoruichi's heart stopped. She had always hoped in the back of her mind and heart that the two would be alright. Stumbling off the roof she went inside where Ichigo and Rukia were harassing Urahara. "Kisuke." Yoruichi said. "Yoruichi!" Kisuke said smiling then he noticed her face. "Is everything alright?" he asked. Yoruichi walked over to the table and fell to her knees. "Open a senkaimon. Abrazo and Guardia are back." Yoruichi croaked. Then tears formed but only a few knowing full well how Hizu and Shi-Shi would not want her to shed tears over them. Urahara was almost frozen on the inside. He had a faint memory of two voices. One was the voice like that of a gruff child who used male like speech with "Oi!" or "What the ****?" and the other was that of a smooth adult like figure who was like a flowing river. The choppier diamond like child voice of Shi-Shi was saying "Oi! Urahara! What have we told you about testing on subordinates!"and the smooth more mature voice of Hizu saying, "Now Ishi calm down and she is right Ura you can't just go around testin' on subordinates right and left." Nodding numbly he stood. "Who are Abrazo and Guardia?" Ichigo asked the question on both his and Rukia's minds. "Two people who will pay for taking away Ishi and Hizume I swear it." Yoruichi said growing angry. "Ishi and Hizume?" Rukia dared to ask. "Ishi Mai and Hizume Ran the two former lieutenants of the head captain himself on squad one. And they were my best friends. Ishi and Hizume were as close as sisters. Some days you could see them walking side by side holding each otherâs hands. They are so different from each other though. Ishi was slightly mean and loud while Hizume was nice and quiet. They always balanced things out." Yoruichi said pawing through her shirt 'til she found it. A ribbon that was hand made by Hizume and a charm hand carved and painted by Ishi. The ribbon was yellow and the charm was of a cat's eye. "They gave this to me as a birthday present." She said. "The senkaimon will be ready tomorrow it is probably best for you to rest tonight." Urahara said coming back in. Yoruichi nodded. "We're coming too." Ichigo said. Yoruichi didn't protest, the woman just nodded any help would be fine by her.

Toshiro and Renji ran into each other both heading in the same direction. "Captain Hitsuguya! I had no idea you'd be coming this way!" Renji said. "I didn't think youâd be heading this way either. I guess you are curious about these two women." Toshiro said. Renji nodded feeling slightly guilty. Together they walked to Ukitake's office. "Ah! Captain Hitsuguya! What a pleasure to see you! And you to Lieutenant Abarai!" Ukitake welcomed them warmly. "You might not pleasure this in a moment. We are curious as to who exactly were these two women?"Renji asked calmly. Ukitake sucked in a breath knowing full well who the two were asking about. "Ishi Mai and Hizume Ran. As you know they shared the lieutenant seat of squad 1 they disappeared a year before Sasabaki took over as lieutenant." Ukitake said his mood changing. "Yes but who were they?" Toshiro asked. "Just two completely different girls. Ishi was the type to slam her foot into a man's crotch if that man dared to call her a child and Hizume was the type to plan revenge quietly then lash it out ASAP." Ukitake chuckled. Leaning back in his chair he added. "Not to mention they also go each other things. The scarf Ishi wears always was a gift from Hizume. Hizume's chopstick in her hair was a handmade gift from Ishi." Toshiro and Renji remembered this. "Thank you it is getting late I should leave." Toshiro said. "I also." Renji said. They left together but Renji went another path back to his barracks a shorter one. Toshiro walked calmly through the streets. Then he was hitting himself mentally for no asking what Ishi or Hizume's zanpakutoâs names were. That was the whole reason he went there. Well he guessed he'd find out later. Oh how right he was. A small figure, fairy sized, was watching Toshiro. "Tee hee. Tee hee. Tee hee. How funny. I guess ice girl and jewel girl do cause some curiosity but I and Montanoso are much better to talk about." Mariposa giggled. She remembered fighting the taller one. The shorter went after Montanoso always. Mariposa flipped her black pigtail back over her shoulder. Her golden eyes gleaming knowing full well how it would end for her. Or so the little arrancar thought.
