Just By Being You

Part 5

*2 weeks later*

It was game night it was the last quarter of the game and their highschool was up by 2 points. Bucky went to run to score the winning touchdown and was tackled by two opponents and Presley heard everyone go quiet and Nat said "Presley don't turn around just breathe."

Presley turned around and saw it was Bucky on the ground and she whispered "Baby please get up please please get up please." Tears started to fall down her cheeks. 

"Barnes you alright man." Coach said

"Yeah yeah I'm fine my ribs hurt like a bitch and my vision is a little blurry but I'm fine." Bucky said 

They pulled his helmet off and he saw Presley out of the corner of his eye and he whispered "Presley ...baby please don't cry." Steve heard him and saw Presley standing on the sidelines and he said "Buck she's worried cause you aren't getting up. Do you think you could get up?"

"Tell her to come here please." Bucky said 

Steve went to get Presley and said "Hes asking for you Pres." She went running on to the field where he was and he said "Baby look at me I'm ok but I am going to go to the ER to get checked out ok ride with my mom to the ER cause my dad can't leave the game he's the assistant coach. And please stop crying." She shook her head yes and said "Give me a kiss." She kissed him and he said "I'm alright baby." 

They helped him up and she ran over to where the cheerleaders were and grabbed her stuff and said "Sorry Natalia I have to go with his mom." She ran up on the bleachers and said "Winnie he wants me to go with you the ER." 

"Ok oh my baby he scared me." Winnie said as they both got off the bleachers and Presley said "You and me both Winnie." They got in her car and headed to the ER and waited in the waiting room for the doctor to come talk to them. He finally came out and said "Barnes family." 

Winnie stood up and said "That's me and that's his girlfriend it's ok." The doctor said "Ok your son suffered a mild concussion nothing serious and a few bruised ribs he will have to sit out the next two games till his ribs heal." 

"Oh thank god." Winnie said 

"Amen to that." Presley said 

The doctor saw her number on her cheek that was smudged and he said "Presley he's asking for you. This nurse here will take you to him." Presley followed the nurse and she let Presley into his room and he said "Hey baby." with his big smile. She smiled and he said "Don't I'm ok nothing but a few bruised ribs and mild concussion." 

"I know the doctor told me and your mom. Guess it's a good thing you have such a great girlfriend that can take care of you this weekend." she said with a smile. She was standing close to the bed and he ran his finger tips up and down her thigh and he said "That I do." 

'You scared me Buck especially when you weren't moving." she whispered 

"I'm sorry baby. I didn't mean to scare you come here." he said 

She sat up on the bed and he laid his arm in her lap and he pushed back her hair. "I never want to scare you like that baby but you know how football works. Sports injuries happens." he said to her .

"I know believe me I know I think about it all the time when I'm up in the damn air baby." she whispered 

"Dear God don't say that to me." he whispered.

His mom came in and said "Bucky you scared me half to death." 

"Sorry mom." he said 

A few minutes later the team came in and his dad and the coach said "So what is the doctor saying 2 weeks out and then I will be back on the field. Mild concussion and a few bruised ribs but otherwise I'm fine."
