It was 12am in the morning. I laid in bed, staring at the ceiling. The sky was dark, and so was my room. My mind was all sorts of places. It was everywhere.

I hear a faint knock on my door. I get up and I open it slowly. Grayson stood there with his keys in his hand. He was dressed and stood in front of me awkwardly.

"Lets go." He says.

"Where?" I ask.

"Anywhere you want." Grayson shrugs. "Just to say sorry for-"

"You don't have do that." I say. "Ill put some clothes on."

I shut my door and I begin to get dress. I hear Grayson get into the car and I jump out of my window. When I get into the car Grayson stares at me weirdly.

"There's a door." Grayson says.

"Window was faster."

Grayson laughs and starts the engine. And we set out on our adventure like the old times.

"And how's Kylie?" I ask as I skim a stone across the lake.

Grayson shrugs. "Lets not talk about girls."

"What did you want to talk about?"

"What have you been doing?" He asks. "Without me?"

I look up at the sky and I tuck my hands into my pockets. "I met Carson." I state. "Her and I did a lot of things."

"Carson? The girl you're in love with?"

I look at him weirdly and he shakes his head.

"I'm on your team, E." Grayson laughs. "Always have, always will."

"Yeah... So what if I do love her?"

"You love her?!" Grayson yells.

I send him a glare and he shakes it off with a laugh.

"Love is love, isn't it?" He shrugs. "Also, that dude James."

I nod and Grayson puts his hands in the pockets of his jacket. "He's been taking care of, all thanks to your little brother."

"What did you?" I ask.

"You'll see when you go back to school."

I push Grayson playfully and he shoved me back. We continued to skim rocks in the moonlight. I had missed this. And I needed this.
